He has blazed against Jacob like a flaming fire Devouring all around. 4 Standing like an enemy, He has bent His bow. With His right hand, like an adversary, He has slain all who were pleasing to His eye. On the tent of the daughter of Zion, He has poured out His fury like fire. 5 The Lord was like an enemy. He has swallowed up Israel. He has swallowed up all her palaces. He has destroyed her strongholds And has increased mourning and lamentation In the daughter of Judah. NKJV

1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his head while on his bed. He wrote down the dream, telling the main facts.

HOW DID DANIEL DESCRIBE THIS DREAM?READ: DANIEL 7:7

7 I saw in the night visions. Behold, A fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, exceedingly strong. It had huge iron teeth. It was devouring, breaking in pieces and trampling the residue with its feet. It was different from all the beasts that were before it. It had ten horns.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away. And His kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.15 I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.16 I came near to one of those who stood by and asked him the truth of all this. 5 The triumphing of the wicked is short. And the joy of the hypocrite is but for a moment? 6 Though his haughtiness mounts up to the heavens And his head reaches to the clouds, 7 Yet He will perish forever like his own refuse.Those who have seen him will say, Where is he? 8 He will fly away like a dream and not be found.Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night. 9 The eye that saw him will see him no more Nor will his place behold him anymore.
