Various measures prove REHAU's ambitious goal to reduce the energy consumption in particular in the production process. The following measures to improve the energy efficiency have been imple-mented at our Bavarian production plant Feucht-wangen over the past few years: - Building insulation - Heat recovery from compressors

- Energy-efficient pump technology in the extrusion and process water area - Replacing the lighting in the production halls - Use of an absorption refrigerating machine in connection with a block-type thermal power station

It was possible to save far in excess of 500,000 kWh per year solely thanks to the clever use of absorption refrigerating machines.

The plant will be certified to EN ISO

50001 energy management in 2014.

The diagonal reinforcement technique:

With the diagonal reinforcement used by REHAU, two reinforcing fibres running counter to one another are applied to the inner hose layer at the correct fibre angle of 54° (neutral angle) in order to achieve an equilibrium of forces. The distance between the individual reinforced fibres and their strength have a significant impact upon the pressure resistance.

Maintaining the correct fibre angle ensures that the hose will behave neutrally under pressure, i.e.:

- No length change - No diameter change - No distortion (torsion) - No twisting

The diagonal reinforcement is a guarantee for high burst pressure values and the main reason why this reinforcement variant is used mainly for technical hoses.Our customers' satisfaction is important to us and, therefore, we also offer the highest quality and safety for garden hoses with this reinforcement technology.

Unlike the diagonal reinforcement, in the mesh reinforcement the inner hose is covered with mesh lines and rows, which do not provide an equilibrium of forces.This causes the hose geometry to become unstable as more pressure is applied and the hose diameter increases, twists along its axis and distorts. This leads to a limited burst pressure and a shorter service life.

Drip hose

The REHAU drip hose can be used above as well as below ground and ensures that an even amount of water is released to the plants. The integrated, pressure-compensated drip heads are a combina-tion consisting of a labyrinth and the membrane of silicone.

Soaker hose

The selective and economic watering of rows of plants and plant borders is the special area of application of REHAU's soaker hose made of recycled material. The drop-by-drop release enables a water saving of up to 70%.

Sprinkler hose

The surface of the REHAU sprinkler hose contains numerous, small incisions through which fine jets of water emerge, which sprinkle germinating crops or seedlings. This is made possible thanks to an even pressure distribution aided by the three-tube system.

DRIP HOSE TRANSPORTS THE WATER DIRECTLY TO THE PLANT

REHAU drip hose

Areas of application:The drip hose can be installed e.g. in a straight line into the flower-beds above ground or below ground both straight as well as in loops. When installing them underground, e.g. an installation depth of approx. 10 cm, below flowerbeds an installation depth of approx. 15 cm, has to be observed.

Note:During the summer months from April to September, in the case of underground installation, watering should take place once a week for at least 20 minutes, as the roots grow in the direction of the drip openings otherwise.

The drip heads are installed with a gap of 30 cm. Every drip head releases approx. 1.6 litres water per hour at a working pressure of between 0.8 and 3 bar. The max. installation length is 120 m.

The drip / soaker hose accessories set material no. 12416701100, can be used to connect or branch several hoses. The appropriate fixing pegs (material no. 12025931100) are suitable for fixing the drip hose.

Warranty conditions for the REHAU garden hose product range

1. Scope of the warranty1.1 REHAU guarantees that the products of the garden hose range are func-

tional in the sense that they will not burst. The warranty does not cover the wear and

tear caused by operation, e.g. slight colour changes, wear of the print.

2. Warranty conditions2.1 The warranty is provided to the private, non-commercial end user providing

that the damage does not occur more than Quattroflex Profi: 20 years, Quattroflex Top:

18 years, Quattroflex Plus: 18 years, Green Line: 15 years, Slide Line: 15 years, Pro

Line Yellow: 10 years, Pro Line Green: 10 years, ECO: 5 years, Cycle Line: 15 years,

Design Line: 15 years, solar hose: 10 years from the date of purchase by the private,

non-commercial end user.

2.2 Damage of any type and incorrect handling, use, outside influences are

excluded from the warranty. The warranty does not cover a commercial use of the

product.

2.3 In the event of damage, the defective product as well as the original sales

receipt must be submitted to REHAU immediately or at the latest 4 weeks after the

damage. REHAU is to be given the opportunity to inspect the damage. Failure to do so

renders this warranty void.

3. Content and implementation of the warranty services3.1 REHAU's liability covers the free replacement of the relevant product, to

which damage has occurred, that can be proven to have been caused by production

errors in our plant and for which the fault lies with us. If the relevant product is no

longer part of our product range at the time of the replacement, we reserve the right

to replace it with an adequate product from the current product range. Further claims

other than the aforementioned right to replacement deliveries, in particular claims for

compensation of any kind, do not form part of this warranty.

3.2 The overall duration of the warranty is not extended if a claim is made

against the warranty during the warranty period.

This document is protected by copyright. All rights based on this are reserved. No part of this publication may be translated, reproduced or transmitted in any form or by any similar means, electronic or mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, or stored in a data retrieval system.
