The whole project budget was initially CHF 150'000 and the grant< ontract was made with Brain Repair Centre, Cambridge I UK (Original Host lnstitution) to \i hich IRP paid CHF 140' 000. The project will be transferred to the Institute pf Experimental Med i ~ine (IEM), Prague I CZ (Host lnstitution) to be finished. This contract with IEM is starting 01 01 October 2021 and includes the last payment for this project of C'7F 10'000 and the tn nsferred amount 70,383.30 as the unused funds from OriginallHost lnstitution. Financial Statement Form of Brain Repair Centre, Cambridge / UK reporting spent and unused µnds to the date of the transfer of the project contains Attachment Nb. 1 to this contract. li P declares its consent with this report (statement).

b. Modification in fund allocation: Funds over/ CHF 10'000.- may or ly be transferred from
one category of the budget to another on prior written approval rom IRP.
c. Brain Repair Centre, Cambridge is obliged to transfer directly to IEM, Prague remaining
(unused) funds before 01 October 2021. llhe total amount of thE funds to be transferred

d. Remaining Funds at the end of the duration of the contract: An)' unused funds will revert

13. Reports
a. Progress, financial, equipment and personnel reports are prereq isites to continued
funding or submission of an application for extension or renewal. They must be submitted
yearly, not later than four weeks after each1 completed contract y ar. lf the PI doesn ' t
submit the final and financial report within four weeks after the c ntract period , IRP has the
right to waive the last payment. Payment cpntinuation for long-t rm projects will depend on
the receipt of the required reports. Financial, equipment and per onal reports must be
signed by the PI and by the Chief Financiall Officer of the host in titution .
Progress report: lt describes the outcom1 of the proposed exp riments and summarizes
all the results that were obtained. Differences from the proposal in respect to time I
schedule or experimental scheme should be mentioned and ac ounted for.
Financial report:lt has to be submitted on the form provided by IRP (Attachment).
Equipment report: lt consists of a detaile6 inventory of all equi ment purchased with
funds from IRP. I Personnel report: Ali collaborators hired for the research proje t and/or paid out of IRP
funds shall be listed with their percentage lot time spent on the roject.
b. Additional reports of research results and information about the team of involved personnel
suitable for publication in IRP' s newsletters, annual reports an promotional literature may
be requested from the PI du ring or within six months of the ter ination of this contract.
Upon request by IRP the PI shall, within a reasonabte time and at no additional cost or I
expense, provide such reports or information including figures nd photographs to IRP.
c. Pdf-documents of all papers, including on/line publication result ng from joint IRP and OPO
Stiftung funded research should be e-mailed to IRP in a timely ashion subsequent to
publication.

14. Publishing and exploitation of rese~rch results a. Any substantial data and results originating from this research pr ject shall be

communicated to the scientific community by publications in appr priate journals or books
orby presentations at scientific conferences. Support by IRP sho Id be acknowledged in
all publications.
b. Any patents or other intellectual property rights taken aut by the I as a direct result of the
project shall belong solely to the PI. ln this bonnection, Brain Re air Centre, Cambridge I
UK as Original Host lnstitution declares thaf it shall have no clai s for any patents or other
intellectual property from this research project. Host lnstitution a d PI undertakes to enter
into negotiation about possible licence regJrding the use of the r sults of the project by
Host lnstitution for justified purposes (f.e. presentation of the res lts), taking into
consideration the role of the Host lnstitutiom and fair conditions o such licence. I
c. IRP shall have the right, without payment or further permission , o reprint project-related
informational material in IRP annual reporti; , newsletters or pro otional literature.
15. Termination and Extension of contract
Both , IRP and Host lnstitution shall have the 1~ight to terminate the

a. Research on human beings: For research1 involving human bei gs, the PI undertakes to
obtain written consent in advance from the individuals involved, as well as the approval of
the appropriate review board or authority.1
b. Animal research: ln the case of animal tests, the Principal lnve tigator shall ensure that all
of the legal and official guidelines applicable at the experiment I location are strictly
observed. Any special conditions imposed by IRP shall be obs rved as well.
I c. No liability on the part of IRP for errors/omissions of the projec team:
IRP is in no way liable for any damage to1 persons or property t at may occur in
conjunction with the performance of the project as a result of e rors or omissions of the
project team.
