There!will!be!a!field!in!PowerSchool!dedicated!to!this!purpose.!!The!

field!will!be!populated!by!your!PowerSchool!clerk!and!will!accept!one!of!three!characters:)

P!!Indicates!that!the!parent/guardian!has!paid!the!DAPP.!!

the!device!home.!!!

The!PowerSchool!Support!team!has!created!a!report,!accessible!via!

PowerTeacher,!which!enables!teachers!to!view!or!print!the!takeC

home!status!of!students.!!This!report!will!be!updated!nightly.!!

Students!who!are!taking!the!device!home!will!need!their!own!Apple!

ID!and!ECaddress.!!Opportunities!to!create!both!are!provided!at!each!

parent!orientation!session!and!an!online!tutorial!is!available!to!

parents!via!the!iRock!website.!!

!Students!who!are!not!taking!the!device!home!will!use!a!single!generic!

Apple!ID!created!by!the!teacher.!!!!!

In!some!cases,!students!who!already!own!an!iPad!may!elect!to!leave!

their!personal!device!at!home!and!use!the!school!issued!device!

during!the!day.!!These!students!should!be!permitted!to!register!their!

school!device!to!their!personal!Apple!ID!if!they!so!choose.!!In!doing!

so,!much!of!their!work!at!school!will!be!delivered!to!the!device!at!

At!the!end!of!the!school!day,!students!who!are!not!taking!devices!

home!should!return!them!to!their!schools!dedicated!storage!facility.!!

This!could!be!homeroom!or!it!may!be!an!alternative!location.!!

Regardless!of!the!location!selected,!storage!locations!should!be!

that!can!be!placed!in!classrooms.!Why!wait?!!We!would!like!to!

determine!the!number!of!devices!going!home!before!purchasing!

Please!be!sure!to!lock!classrooms!when!items!are!left!unsupervised.!!

Many!teachers!establish!safe!zoneslocations!in!the!classroom!

where!devices!should!be!placed!when!students!are!away!or!are!not!

using!the!devices.!
