• Successful Applicants had very high Project scores!

• Host Institution scores have improved significantly

since last year

• Enterprise Partnership applicants got grants despite

low scores!

• Enterprise Partnership Scheme

– All 4 Enterprise Partnership Scheme IRC’s got

funded (1 reserve got it)

• Summer Bursary Scheme

– 10 UL40 Summer Bursary students applied, and 5

were successful!

• IRC Grant writing Workshop

– More awareness of effort needed

– Improved scores in research Environment

– Will run again this year

• Structured PhD

– 16 of 17 Successful PhD App.’s were Structured
