Dear Student-teachers of the past, present, professors, friends and well-wishers greetings to you from St. Xavier’s College of Education.
St. Xavier’s College of Education has become more sensitive to the emerging demands of the Indian Education System. All teacher education institutions want to help their prospective teachers succeed in life. What was considered enough to be a good teacher 50 years ago, however, is no longer enough for success in teaching career in the 21st century. The teacher educators still pose important questions about how to move 21st century teacher education forward. Our college has been an advocate of the 21st century teacher education from its inception and wants to empower teachers and teacher educators to move them forward in their own professional practice. Along with visions of various educational agencies in India, our college pays more attention for the execution of new plans and innovations that take us to excellence and staying focused in our mission. Here, I am really very happy to showcase different activities of our college with a hope that we would climb further heights in the future.

I hope through our initiation the Society of Jesus takes lot of efforts to uplift and empower the weaker sections of the society as a whole and it will become a successful mission in the days and years to come.
