OverviewBrother iPrint&Scan allows you to usefeatures of your Brother machine directly fromyour iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and iPad mini.
Brother iPrint&Scan supports the followingfunctions:
• Scan
If your machine does not have a printer orscanner, you cannot use the related printor scan functions of Brother iPrint&Scan.
Download BrotheriPrint&Scan from theApp StoreYou can install Brother iPrint&Scan from theApp Store. To take advantage of all thefeatures supported by Brother iPrint&Scan,make sure you are using the latest version.
Device ConnectionsConnect your mobile device to your Brothermachine using one of the following connectionmethods:
Wi-Fi ®
To configure your Brother machine for aWi-Fi connection, see your machine’sQuick Setup Guide.
Wi-Fi Direct®
To configure your Brother machine to a Wi-Fi Direct® network, download any one ofthe following guides from your model'sManuals page on the Brother SolutionsCenter at http://support.brother.com.

Your Brother Machine must support Wi-FiDirect®.

Depending on your Brother machine andmobile device, supported connectionmethods may vary.

Tap this icon to select all pages.
Tap this icon to deselect all pages.
Tap this icon to enlarge the thumbnails.
Tap this icon to reduce the thumbnails.
• For iPad and iPad mini
Tap this icon, and then tap Select All orDeselect All to select or deselect allpages.
Tap the screen to hide or show theoperation buttons.

Set a Device for PrintIf a different machine is selected or if DeviceIs Not Selected is displayed, follow thesesteps:
1 Tap or Settings.
2 Select a device.
3 Set PRINT OPTIONS as needed.

Tap Done to exit the Print Settingsscreen.
• For iPad and iPad mini
Tap outside of the Print Settingsscreen to close the screen.

1 Tap Photo Albums or Photo.

Print Web PagesYou can print web pages using the webbrowser included in Brother iPrint&Scan.
1 Tap Web Page or Web.
2 Navigate to the web page you want toprint.

Add a Bookmark to a WebPage
1 Navigate to the web page you want tobookmark.
2 Tap .
3 Tap Save.
Edit Bookmarks
1 Tap .
2 Tap Edit.
• To delete a bookmark, tap , andthen tap Delete.
• To edit the title, tap it, and then editthe title. Tap Save.
3 Tap Done.
Clear Your Entire BrowsingHistory
1 Tap .
2 Tap History.
3 Tap Clear.
4 Tap Clear History.

Print Data from theClipboardYou can print data, including photos, text andselected portions of web pages, that is copiedto the Clipboard.
1 Copy the data to the Clipboard.
2 Tap Clipboard.

Print Photos Taken withBrother iPrint&Scan
This function is available for iPhone andiPod touch.
1 Tap Camera.
2 Take a photo.
3 Select Use Photo or Retake.
4 Tap Print.

Print Photos orDocuments from OtherApplications
1 Navigate to the file you want to print,and then open it in Brother iPrint&Scan.
For example, if you are viewing a PDFusing Safari, tap Open in…, and thenselect Brother iPrint&Scan.

Set a Device for ScanIf a different machine is selected or if DeviceIs Not Selected is displayed, follow thesesteps:
1 Select a device.
If the Print screen is displayed, switch tothe scan function by tapping Scan.
2 Set SCAN OPTIONS as needed.
Crop the Scanned Image
1 Tap .
• To change the size of the box, dragthe arrows on the edge of the box.
• Tap inside the box, and drag to movethe position of the box.
• To start over and select the size ofthe box again, tap outside the box toclear the box, and then tap and dragto select the area of the image youwant to crop.
2 Tap Done.

Tap this icon to rotate the scanned image90° counterclockwise.

Scan DocumentsYou can scan documents and save them inyour mobile device's Photo Albums.
1 Load the document to scan in yourBrother machine.
2 Tap Scan.
3 Tap .
4 Tap Save to Photo Albums.
• Each page is saved as a separate file.

Send by Email
1 Load the document to scan in yourBrother machine.
2 Tap Scan.
3 Tap .
4 Tap Email as JPEG or Email as PDF.
5 Send a message.

Scan and SaveDocuments to iCloud
1 Load the document to scan in yourBrother machine.
2 Tap Scan.
3 Tap .
4 Tap Save To iCloud as JPEG or SaveTo iCloud as PDF.
• If you select Save To iCloud asJPEG, each page is saved as aseparate file.
• If you select Save To iCloud as PDF,all pages of the document are saved inone file.
• The Brother ScanViewer app makessearching easier for files saved toiCloud by Mac. This app can bedownloaded from the following sites;
• ScanViewer for iOS: App Store
• ScanViewer for Mac: Mac AppStore

Open, Upload andShare Scanned Images
1 Load the document to scan in yourBrother machine.
2 Tap Scan.
3 Tap .
4 Do one of the following:
• Tap Open Using Another App.
• Tap Upload to Online Services. (ForiOS 6 only)
• Tap AirDrop.
To upload to online services, an onlineservice account must be set up for yourmobile device.
