INVITATIONYou’re invited to join us in prayer! We are planning changes to all our buildings at Trinity and you are invited to pray for them. While the church is so much more than a building, this is a big ccommitment for our church family to talk with one another and with God. We hope you will join us in praying during this time of preparation and transition. We hope all who worship as a part of Trinity will invite God into this process.

WHY DO WE PRAY?WWe pray for many reasons. We pray to express gratitude to God. We pray because it strengthens our relationship with God and our trust in God. We pray to seek God’s guidance and direction in our lives.

PPrayer is a conversation. We should talk with God just as we would talk to those we have relationships with when we are making changes and big decisions in our personal lives. We want to talk to God because we have a relationship with Him and want to bring Him into the cconversations that we are having about our church buildings and how that will change our church body. We want to thank God for His faithfulness to our church family and ask Him to guide us through this process.

WWhile it may seem as though we are just praying that we choose the right paint colors, carpet and décor, we realize the physical building is an essential aspect of our Christian journey. For many, the church building will be the first impression of our church environment. We desire for the spspace to be warm and inviting.

Our church family experiences some of life’s most beautiful moments – baptisms, weddings, Christmas services – and most ddifficult times within the walls of this building. The church building is the place where we mourn those we have lost. It is the place where our hearts are forever altered through forming meaningful friendships, serving those in need, and experiencing our God in unexpected ways.

OOur prayer is that we best utilize the resources with which God has blessed us to create the spaces we need to carry out His calling on us as individuals and collectively as Trinity United Methodist Church. Our hope is that we are able to serve the sspiritual needs of our church family as well as our community and beyond.

PRAYER TOURIIf you would like to visit the four designated construction spaces that our building will soon undergo, you are invited to take a self-guided prayer tour. The designated spaces are located:

- General Project & Original Sanctuary – 3rd floor, Room 300

-- Children’s Space Renovation - 1st floor hallway, Room 111 across from Nursery

- Contact Space Expansion – 2nd floor, interior entrance to Wesley Hall

- Welcome Area Improvements – 1st floor GYM hallway

PPlease check out these spaces when you here for worship or on Wednesday evenings.

HOW DO WE PRAY?God, thank You for Trinity. Thank You for the way we are changed by worshipping You with our church family. Thank you for meeting us in church and for your continued faithfulness to us as iindividuals and a church family. God, we ask for Your guidance as we prepare to make changes to our buildings. Help us remember that church is not about a building, but about a place to worship and learn about You with others. Help us to use our spaces and buildings to brbring honor to You, grow in deeper relationship with You, and show others Your love and grace. Lord, we ask that You would guide our next steps. Help us to know the path You want us to walk. Sustain us through transition and change and help us to draw closer to You and one another. God, we pray that onon the other side of this construction and change, we are more like Jesus. Help us to welcome others and love them like Jesus does. Continue to make our church a people and a place that loves and welcomes all of Your children. Amen
