The INTUS PS palm vein authentication is a

technology that ideally combines ease of

use with high security requirements. With an

impressive level of exactness and security

(FAR*= 0,00008%, FRR: 0.01%). The palm

vein authentication is an ideal access control

system for data centers, banks, executive

suites or airport security zones.

The palm vein recognition system combines

the security of iris recognition with the

convenience of a fingerprint reader. The palm

vein authentication system is available

for wall mounting (1600PS) and for integra-

tion in Siedle systems (INTUS PS).

Biometric features are unique and make it possible

to authenticate an individual without any doubt.

The palm vein pattern is extremely complex

and hidden inside the human body,

completeley protected against abuse and

manipulation.

The layout of the veins remains unchanged

throughout a lifetime, and it is different

in each individual. Soiled skin, impure skin,

or superficial injuries have no effect.

The palm vein pattern remains the same

whether it’s warm or cold.

The palm vein authentication is contactless

and ensures the highest degree of hygiene.

For palm vein authentication, the user simply

holds his or her hand in front of the access

reader. The recognition status is signaled via

PCS’s unique multicolor MagicEye indicator.

The INTUS PS system is completely

integrated with the INTUS access solutions.

Interfacing to a higher-level system

via an Ethernet, RS485 (LBus OSDP) or

Wiegand port, it acts as an intelligent

access reader towards the access control

manager (ACM/ZKZ) and can easily

be integrated with other access control

systems as well.

Its big 216-color display facilitates clear,

convenient and intuitive user guidance.

INTUS Fingerprint is available for verification (against a card) and identification

(against a database).

PCS Fingerprint solutions are implemented as

� access readers (INTUS 600FP) for connection to an INTUS ACM Access Control Manager,

� terminals with Ethernet interface and high local intelligence (INTUS 5300FP).

Fingerprint recognition is the most

widespread biometric solution.

It’s inexpensive, robust, and easy

to use. Increasingly, fingerprint

technology is used for pure con-

venience applications eliminating

the need for costly card manage-

ment. Forgotten access cards are a

thing of the past.

The sensor selected by PCS conforms to the highest

security standards. It is certified according to FIPS-201

(Federal Information Processing Standard) and NIST

SP 800-76 (National Institute of Standards and Tech-

nology), and it also meets the requirements according to

HSPD-12 (Homeland Security Presidential Directive).

Up to 2,000 templates and up to 10 fingers per person

can be stored, and the sensor is immune to electro-

static discharges up to 15 kV.
