ThesisRE_COMPOSITION: Examining the links between cultural knowledge, collective memory and

historical places, this project seeks to create a new methodology in the redevelopment of

culturally and historically significant structures. Located in the industrial ruins of the Southern

Pacific Railyards in Sacramento, CA, a new Center for Cultural Knowledge looks at the links

between the historical expansion of the city and the sprawl of people in relation to the

underlying layers of cultural knowledge that make the site significant in the collective memory.

BOOK: Wrote and hand-bound a book detailing the process of the project

BOOKSHOW: aided in the design and building of a full scale installation as well as the design of the

graphics used for advertising the show.

Architectural ExperienceARCHITECTURE INTERN SUMMER 2010

HGA Architecture ROSEVILLE, CA Under the mentorship of Andres Basas and ACE team

I aided in drafting needs for the final stages of construction documentation on two projects--

the Monterey Peninsula College Theatre Renovation as well as the American River College

New Life Sciences Building. The drawings utilized both AutoCad and Revit. I also organized

and participated in site visits, presentation preparations, document printing, and other office

organizational needs.

ARCHITECTURE INTERN 2005-2006

Moniz Architecture SACRAMENTO, CA Under the mentorship of owner/principal Alicia Moniz

I aided Alicia with hand and computer documentation of an existing building for renovations

as well as the construction documents for a Sacramento Regional Housing Administration

project. I also built a model for a client presentation and aided in office organizational needs.
