STATISTICALSECTIONComprehensive Annual Financial Report
Indiana’s largest festival is the 10‐day Covered Bridge Festival centered in Parke
County. This festival hosts over one million visitors in the “Covered Bridge Capital
of the World.” Visitors and vendors from near and far gather to sell food, crafts
and visit the 31 covered bridges in the county.
This picture features the covered bridge and mill in Bridgeton. Though it has been
rebuilt a few times, the original bridge and mill were built around 1823. Today,
visitors can see the water‐powered mill in action and purchase many different
milled products.
