Welcome to the Asia CEO Awards 2020.
We feel for the many people who are experiencing difficulty during this time of crisis. There was much discussion whether Asia CEO Awards should proceed this year. Many similar events around the world have been canceled. However, we spoke with many people who have worked with us over the years and they were emphatic that the Asia CEO Awards should proceed.
At probably no other time in our lives is Outstanding Leadership more important in our businesses and government agencies. This is what Asia CEO Awards is about. We want to highlight the most extreme examples of Outstanding Leadership to inspire the rest of us to also be outstanding leaders for our organizations, communities and the nation.
Many of us have seen our own incomes suffer (or collapse), as well as that of others close to us. It is a time for us to support those in need as best we can, while focusing on the future recovery.
The Philippines has a bright future ahead and don’t you forget it! So, celebrate achievement with the elite of the nation again for the 11th year of Asia CEO Awards. I am glad you are with us as we are United Towards the First World.

Jovy HernandezPresident & CEO, ePLDT Inc. SVP & Head, PLDT & Smart Enterprise Business Groups
On behalf of PLDT Enterprise, I would like to once again congratulate both the nominees and winners of this year’s Asia CEO Awards.
In the last decade of its existence, the Asia CEO Awards has always been a platform, which recognizes leadership and excellence—showcasing how outstanding service can uplift the Philippine economy and lead the nation towards transformative development. This year, such ideal takes form with the theme, “United Towards the First World.”
As the world continues to combat the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the role of enterprises comes to the fore—with their influence and capacity to affect change being of even greater relevance than ever before. All those whom we will be recognizing at this year’s awards are the very trailblazers that are helping push our nation forward—not only from the COVID-19 pandemic but towards the first world status we have collectively aimed for through the years.
It is my hope that each of us realizes full-well that the power to bring this vision to life is in all our hands. I enjoin each and every single one of you to continue leveraging on both your position and resources to further our ambitions of becoming a globally competitive nation. After all, the true measure of success for any enterprise is the number of lives it is able to affect.
Thank you very much and congratulations to all!

RAMON SEE ANGRamon See Ang is the president and vice chairman of one of the nation’s oldest conglomerates who is well known in the food and beverage industry, but now is also prominent in the power and infrastructure businesses, is this year’s Asia CEO’s award for Lifetime Contributor awardee in the private sector. His success in his businesses is not only found in the Philippines but also globally. His company is also instrumental in the various crucial infrastructure projects that help our country not just to recover but also leads us to soar even higher in terms of creating jobs, stimulating economic activities, creating good public image, and building trustworthy reputations. He is not only concerned about
growing his businesses but is also known to have a good heart in helping our countrymen without expecting
anything in return.
Among the many philanthropic deeds under his wings, he is one of the
first to act swiftly to convert one of his businesses in response to
the crisis in medical supplies during the ECQ. Recently, he put up a foundation whose first project is to build a state-of-the-art 500-bed hospital specializing in infectious disease research. Without a doubt, our lifetime contribution awardee deserves this recognition as a small token for his enormous accomplishments as a businessman and citizen of
our beloved country.
