Workshop ContentPractical experiences covered during the workshopFunction, operation, inspection and most common problems on • Ram preventers• Annular preventers• Gate valves• Choke/kill manifolds• Hydraulic control units• Remove and install ram preventer blocks• Remove and install annular preventer element• Adjust settings on BOP Hydraulic unit.

• Carry out pressure test on a BOP surface stack including rams, annular, choke and kill manifold.

• Compete theoretical exam at end of the workshop

This informative workshop verifies that crews have the theoretical knowledge and practical ability to carry out the required tasks in the operation of well control equipment

Explain the theory behind the operation of well control equipment• Remove and install the ram preventer blocks• Remove and install annular preventer element/bladder.• Remove and install a gate valve in a choke or kill manifold• Carry out a BOP test on rams, annular, choke/kill manifold

and gate valves

It is not intended for this workshop to replace any mandatory IWCF or other well control training, rather it is designed to complement this mandatory training and verify the crews are competent between attending other well control courses
