Closer than one’s self!

We verily created man and We know what his soul wispereth to him, and We are nearer to him than his jugular vein. (50: 15)

ولقّد خلقنا اإلنسان ونعلم ما توسوس به نفسه

نحن أقرب إليه من حبل الوريّد.

(15 )ق:

Who comes just after God?

Your Lord has decreed, that you worship none save God, and that you show kindness to your parents.

If one of them or both attain to old age with you, say not “Fie” unto them nor repulse them, but speak unto them a gracious word.

And lower unto them the wings of humility through mercy, and say: my Lord, have mercy on them as they did care for me when I was little.

(17:23-24)

تعبّدوا أال ربك وقضىو إياه بالوالّدينإال

إما إحساناالكبر عنّدك يبلغن

كالهما أو أحّدهماتقل فال

تنهرهما وال أف لهما . كريما قوال لهما وقلالذل جناح لهما واخفضرب( وقل الرحمة منربياني كما ارحمهما

:صغيرا. -23اإلسراء )24(

The miracle! Yet they say: why are not signs sent down to him from his Lord?Say: I am indeed a clear Warner and is it not enough for them that We have sent down to thee the book which is rehearsed to them. Verily in it is mercy and a reminder to those who believe (29: 50-51)

وقالوا لوال أنزل عليه آيات من ربه قل إنما اآليات عنّد الله وإنما

أولم أنا نذير مبين. يكفهم أنا أنزلنا عليك

يتلى عليهم إن الكتابفي ذلك لرحمة

وذكرى لقوم يؤمنون(51-50)العنكبوت:

The Open Book

Say: travel in the land, and see how God originated creation, then God brings forth the other life, God is able to do all things (29: 20)

في سيروا قلفانظروا األرض

ثم الخلق بّدأ كيفالنشأة ينشئ الله

الله إن اآلخرةشيء كل على

: قّدير )20العنكبوت )

We shall show them our signs on the horizon, and within themselves until it manifest to them that it is the truth..

(41: 53)

سنريهم آياتنا في وفي اآلفاق

حتى أنفسهميتبين لهم أنه

الحق أولم يكف بربك أنه على كل

شيء شهيّد( 53)فصلت:

Arabic speaking Muslims

Qur’an on Humanity:

O mankind, We have created you male and female, and appointed you races and tribes, that you may know one another .

Surely the noblest among you in the sight of God is the most conscious .

God is All-knowing, All-Aware. (49: 13)

يا أيها الناس إنّـا خلقناكم من ذكر وأنثى وجعلناكم

شعوبا وقبائل إن أكرمكم لتعارفوا

عنّد الله أتقاكم إن الله عليم خبير

Hadith of the Prophet

There is a piece of flesh in the body.

If it is sound, the entire body is sound.

If it is unsound, the entire body is unsound.

It is the heart.

الجسّد في إنإن لمضغة،صلح صلحت

كله، الجسّدفسّد فسّدت وإنكله، الجسّد

وهي أالالقلب.

Two blessings most people undervalue them; health and free time

مغبون نعمتانمن فيهما كثيرالناسوالفراغ الصحة

Every child is born in a state of (Fitra) good nature

يولّد مولود كلالفطرة على

Where is Paradise?

Paradise is at mothers’ feet

The Prophet & knowledge:

Who so ever goes out seeking knowledge, God facilitates his/her way to paradise,

And the angels put down their wings in appreciation for the one who is learning.

من سلك طريقا يلتمس فيه علما

سهل الله له طريقا إلى الجنة،

وإن المالئكة لتضع أجنحتها لطالب العلم

رضا بما صنع.

The 5 pillars of Islam:1. Testimonies (Tawheed)

2. Prayer (Salah)

3. Almsgiving (Zakah)

4. Fasting Ramadan (Saum)

5. Pilgrimage (Hajj)

The 5 daily prayer:

1. Fajer (dawn)

2. Zuhur (midday)

3. Aser (mid-afternoon)

4. Maghreb (after sunset)

5. Isha’a (nightfall)

Pay Zakah 2.5 % of savings Every year Minimum amount (£1000) Minimum duration (a year) For any good cause

Fasting: Between first light and sundown Entire lunar month (29-30) Adults In good health Abstain: food, drink, sex Vices, lying, backbiting… Time for more charity Ends with Eid Al-Fitr
