Future Activities Field Trip Lecture Series Public Lecture Short Course Publication The Society of Economic Geologists - Akita University Student Chapter (SEG-AUSC) is a newly organized group in Akita University for students who are interested in economic geology and related fields. We hold and organize activities such as public lectures by experts both from local and international institutions, fieldtrips, short courses, and student presentations/consultations. We aim to promote the advancement of different field of studies related to resource science such as (but not limited to) economic geology, mineral economics, geochemistry, petrology, and quaternary geology. The student chapter has been officially approved on April 15, 2015 by the SEG Council. There are now about 22 active members from different laboratories and 4 students also working as executive committees. The SEG-AUSC already held 4 public lectures on various topics and were given by lecturers from academia, government agency and private institutions. The Society of Economic Geologists - Akita

University Student Chapter (SEG-AUSC) is a newly

organized group in Akita University for students who

are interested in economic geology and related

fields. We hold and organize activities such as

public lectures by experts both from local and

international institutions, fieldtrips, short courses,

and student presentations/consultations. We aim to

promote the advancement of different field of studies

related to resource science such as (but not limited

to) economic geology, mineral economics,

geochemistry, petrology, and quaternary geology.
