(Before Differences Training)Prerequisites
• Crews shall be qualified (i.e. IR, AR, LC, AEP) on:-
• A330 and A340 mixed fleet flying (MFF); or
• A330 only

Training• Computer based training – Airbus Cockpit Experience (ACE)
• Airbus Procedure Trainer (APT+)
• Full Flight Simulator (FFS)
(After Course Completion)Privileges
• Continue to exercise privileges of A330 and A340 MFF, or A330 as applicable, until the first A350 familiarisation flight.
• Then A330 and A340 MFF will cease.

A330 and A350 are considered by HKCAD as a single fleet and assigned a single
license endorsement, therefore any take off and landing performed on A330 or
A350 aircraft is valid for both A330 and A350.
A330 / A350 Handling Recency

Once FAM starts, 2 Months fly on A350 only
*Applicable for extended
separation between completion of
SIM course and start of the FAM
to maintain handling recency.
RT/PC
Recurrent Training performed on any A330 or A350 aircraft is valid for both types,
provided differences are identified and addressed.
Proficiency Checks performed on any A330 or A350 aircraft is valid for both types,
provided that the differences are addressed during recurrent training.
Takeoff/Landing Recency
3 takeoff and landings in 3 months on both A330 and A350 aircraft
Recurrent Training(RT) / Proficiency Check(PC) and Takeoff/Landing Recency

Re-issue of a new Authorised Examiner Letter of Authority
[OSD] The completion of pilot differences training on the A330/A350 variant extends TRI
and SFI privileges to the respective variant(s) for which pilot differences training has been
received. Consequently, any TRE or SFE privileges held are extended to those variants.
For previous A330 only A330/A350
For previous A330 and A340A330/A350 (remove A340 due to type
phase-out)
