Introducing WHS365Wilmslow High School
All students now have access to WHS365
•WHS365 is the Office 365 service provided by Microsoft for Wilmslow High School
•This gives you online access to the Microsoft Office suite, online file storage and E-Mail
•This presentation will tell you how to access WHS365
•But first, there are some important rules that you need to be clear about...
The golden rules of WHS365• Don’t ever be rude, abusive or unkind• Don’t e-mail staff unless they have asked you to• Remember that people often misunderstand jokes in e-mail:
▫ always be polite and clear about what you mean▫ remember that your teachers or parents could end up
reading what you have written• The downloading, storage, sending or forwarding of
unsuitable material is obviously not allowed▫ Anything violent, dangerous, racist, sexual or unpleasant is
unsuitable• Remember that your e-mails are recorded and can be
reviewed by school management• Don’t send e-mails out to large groups of people• Attachments to e-mails should not be opened unless they
come from someone already known and trusted; they could contain viruses or other destructive programs
What happens if I ignore the rules?• The usual Wilmslow Way sanctions apply to
behaviour online just as much as behaviour in school
• In addition poor behaviour online is likely to result in access to WHS365 (e-mail, apps and storage) being suspended
• Your parents may be contacted and provided with evidence of the breach
• Cyber bullying or sending/forwarding unacceptable material is highly likely to be a B5 behaviour incident and could result in exclusion from school
