Introducing
The Comfort
Zone(75° /50% RH)
Every HVAC system is
trying to hit this target.
Hot, humid climates
High latent load.
The Challenge:
Here’s how conventional HVAC does it …
The Comfort
Zone(75° /50% RH)
AC
First, over-cool the air to the dew
point.
Then, remove the moisture.
Re-heat
Finally, reheat the air back to the Comfort Zone!
Hot, humid climates
(And while you’re at it, use plenty of energy! )
Here’s how
does it …
The Comfort
Zone(75° /50% RH)
Hot, humid climates
Desiccant
Take the moisture out first, using
innovative low-flow liquid desiccant
technology.AC
Then lightly cool to the Comfort Zone—using a fraction of
the energy.
Cool. Dry. And Frugal.
Here’s how the system works …
Regenerator
Heat Exchanger
Liquid Salt Solution
Conditioner
Hot, humid outside air is drawn into Sonoma Cool’s Conditioner.Liquid desiccant removes the moisture
while water cools the Conditioner.Dried process air is released
into the building’s cooling unit.Saturated desiccant is sent through
the Heat Exchanger to the Regenerator.Heat dries the desiccant. Air flowing through the Regenerator
carries off the excess moisture.Dried desiccant is cooled through the Heat Exchanger
and cycled back to the Conditioner.
