Beta Customer Feedback on Explorer Acccelerated

It’s amazing how quickly Explorer is returning results. Users are learning things about their data that they didn’t previously know. The results leap out of the page.

Business User questions easily answered. Brands not sold in other provinces? That would have taken 10 clicks with BEx. “

Explorer can help us achieve our enterprise Business Intelligence program goals much more quickly.“

4/13:  Middle stage  - We have already loaded a cube with 83 million records - .5 second response time, will be loading a 300 million record cube

4/16: We ave loaded the 283 million record cube - the results are being returned as fast as the 83 million record cube!

BI Bundle together with SBO Explorer Bundle for selling BI to our SAP NW/BI customers

For SAP NW/BI customers

Providing a customer buys the BI Engine, the new pricing "gives" automatically BI access to all SAP Pro and Ltd Pro users. We see this as a strong opportunity to sell BI standardization deals in SAP accounts,

"Wall to wall BI". However, we see a risk when customers consider that not all the SAP Pro or Ltd Pro users

need BI, leading to discussion on what % would make sense and therefore leading to a smaller configuration. We want to drive a different behavior from both our AE’s and from customers. To do so, we would propose (along with value proposition revolving around BI for

Everyone messages) to apply a progressive discount on the CPU's if the customer agrees on going for a "Wall to wall BI" configuration (to cover BI needs of all SAP Pro + Ltd Pro users or more)

The benefits for SAP are 3 folds:

1. The engine/CPU discussion will be left aside for a while, and the focus will be on the user side.

2. We lock the door to our BI competitors to a large extent.

3. We can expect to up sell more Business Experts upfront since it is usually a % of the total € of BI Users.
