Established in Santa Clara, CA in 2002 as Chunghwa Telecom Global, Inc., we’ve been providing telecommunications services to hundreds of companies both here in the United State and abroad globally as well. Q: Why did you change your name from Chunghwa Telecom Global to CHT Global? In 2010, we decided to rebrand ourselves by shortening our name and creating a new identity that would drive our US market expansion and reach a wider market group. Therefore, we abbreviated our name with “CHT” as well as emphasizing “global” as our core value and identity as a global solutions provider. Q: What makes CHT Global unique or different from other telecom providers? Great question! Naturally, telecommunications companies provide similar product services, however there are significant differences as well that characterize the strength of each provider. For us, CHT Global’s strength can be found in the following areas: 1) Taiwan, China, and Asia: A telecom’s network strength is primarily dependent on their backbone infrastructure in terms of concentration and diversity. For global providers, their strength is typically found in and around their country and region of origin. With that said, Chunghwa Telecom is the chief telecom provider of Taiwan and the majority owner of Taiwan’s fixed lines, which allow us to provide the best network quality and prices available into and out of Taiwan. In addition, CHT Global has very strong ties with mainland Chinese providers and possesses an abundance of submarine cables throughout the Asian Pacific region, which has given us a unique advantage to providing service to Asia at large. 2) Global Solutions & Expertise: Like mentioned, CHT Global boasts one of the strongest global network infrastructures and our primary customer base consists of the world’s largest global enterprises. These include the majority of semiconductor companies, computer component manufacturers, and other high-tech firms. With almost 10 years of experience in solving complex global network interconnections and IT issues, we believe this knowledge is by far our greatest strength and allows us to be the best in what we do. 3) Global Service Quality: This is summed up by our slogan: “Dedicated to Communication.” Customers really appreciate this core value because we work tirelessly to provide the right telecommunications solution and help meet our customer’s deadlines too. No problem is too big, whether domestic or global, and we do our very best so that our customers can be at their very best as well; providing bilingual support 24/7, 365 days of the year.

Brief background of CHT Global and ChunghwaTelecom in America:

CHT Global (中華電信全球公司) is the US Subsidiary of Taiwan’s Chunghwa Telecom.

For us, CHT Global’s strength can be found in the following areas:

1) Taiwan, China, and Asia: A telecom’s network strength is primarily dependent on their backbone infrastructure in terms of concentration and diversity. For global providers, their strength is typically found in and around their country and region of origin. With that said, Chunghwa Telecom is the chief telecom provider of Taiwan and the majority owner of Taiwan’s fixed lines, which allow us to provide the best network quality and prices available into and out of Taiwan. In addition, CHT Global has very

strong ties with mainland Chinese providers and possesses an abundance of submarine cables throughout the Asian Pacific region, which has given us a unique advantage to providing service to Asia at large.

Q: What services do you currently provide? Our enterprise services consist of MPLS IP-VPN, IPLC (International Private Leased Circuits), IDC (Internet Data Center services), Long Distance Voice, Integrated Voice and Data Solutions, and Cloud Computing Infrastructure Service. As a total solutions provider, CHT Global also hosts local business solutions such as voice/analog PRI and PBX services, video and audio conferencing solutions, and enterprise email filtering systems, and other solutions as well. You can find out more about these services from our website www.chtglobal.com.

Q: What is CHT Global’s chief product offering?MPLS IP-VPN is the most commonly known solution because it provides our customers with a private network that connects their offices and data center points together using CHT Global’s existing MPLS “cloud.” As previously mentioned, CHT Global’s infrastructure is global in reach and highly diverse due to its transpacific submarine cable lines and many PoPs around the world. PoPs, or Points of Presence, are the location access points where the CHT Global network can be tapped into. With the MPLS paired with CHT Global’s Dedicated Internet Access solution as a backup for disaster recovery, enterprises gain not only network security but also the benefits of a reinforced network with

high guaranteed uptime and performance levels.

Managed hosting is also an offering that is commonly used by CHT Global customers. More and more enterprises are outsourcing their hardware management and secondary IT responsibilities to providers so that they can save costs and better utilize the time and energy of their in-house IT personnel. CHT Global provides data center space to host customer servers, manages customer server devices, and also provides virtualized computing services through cloud computing. These make sense for enterprises because the greatest expenditure costs arise from human labor resources, and by utilizing these services allows for IT teams to be staffed for mission critical tasks instead. Not only so, but with such a wide range of available options, customers will be able to architect more efficient and cost saving hybrid models for their IT architecture based upon their specific security, flexibility, cost restraints, and long term plans.
