accountofmyexperienceasastudentofLaSierraUniversityundertheadministrationofcurrentLSUPresidentRandalWisbey.

MembersoftheSeventh-DayAdventistChurchleadershiphaveencouragedmethat

laymeninthechurchshouldbeactivelyinvolvedinbringingaboutchangetothecrisisatLaSierraUniversity.Itismyhopethatthefollowinginformationwill

enlighten,awaken,andhelpchurchleadersandlaymenalikeplaytheirpartin

bringingaboutthismuchneededchange.

DuringthiscrisisatLSU,theeffortsofvariouschurchmembersandleadershave

beendirectedtowardcreatinggreatertransparencybetweenLSUsBiologyand

Religiondepartments,theLSUadministration,andthemembersandleadersofthe

Seventh-DayAdventistChurch.Incontrast,youwillnoteonlines234and235ofthe

proposedLSUbylawchangesthattheBoardofTrusteesdesignatedfunctionTo

orderandcontrolallaffairsandbusiness,andtobeinformedoftheworkofthe

variousschools,departments,committeesandprogramswillbeterminatediftheproposedbylawchangesareapproved.

IfeachofuswilltaketimetoreadtheproposedLSUbylawchanges,wewillnotethepotentialresultsofreducingthepowerofLSUsBoardofTrusteeswhile

strengtheningthepowerofLSUspresident,whoundertheproposedchangeswill

bedeemedChiefExecutiveOfficer.Worldhistoryhasalreadyillustratedclearlyto

uswhathappenswhenmoreandmoreresponsibilityandpowerisinvestedinone

man.Thefollowinginformationisaperfectexampleofhowaninstitutioncanconductitselftowardoneofitsstudentswhenitsleaderhasbeeninvestedwithtoo

muchpower,andotherschoosetofollowhisleadanyway.

Thehandlingofthesituationsandeventsthatfollowhappenedunderthe

leadership,direction,andoversightofRandalWisbey,currentpresidentofLaSierra

University.Itisnotasurprise,then,thathenowseekstoconcentrateinhimselfas

muchpoweroverLSUasispossible.

ThisinformationisalivingexampleofwhatRandalWisbeyiswillingtoputa

studentthroughinordertoattempttokeepthemsilent.Whilerepresentingan

opennesstodiversityofopinionandviews,undertheleadershipofRandalWisbey,LSUhasdonequitetheoppositetowardcertainindividuals.

Asyouwillsee,RandalWisbeysadministrationwithheldandadmittedtodestroyingdocumentsconcerningmethatIhadaperfectrighttoseeandreview.

ThisactionviolatedmyrightsasastudentundertheFamilyEducationalRightsandPrivacyAct(FERPA)of1974,andisjustplainwrong.Asyouwillnotice,Ibegan

requestingdocumentsIwasentitledtoreviewinJanuary2010.TheLSU

administrationanditslegalcounselrepeatedlyrepresentedthattheyhaddelivered

alldocumentationthatIwasentitledtoreview.InaletterdatedMarch4,2010,

includedinExhibitV,LSUslawyerKentHansenstatedTheeducationrecordsthat

youhavebeenprovidedconstituteyourentirestudentfile.Oncemyattorney

beganinsistingthatLSUdelivertomealldocumentationIwasentitledtoreview,LSUsoonadmittedthattheyhadbegundestroyingdocumentsthattheyhadbeen

withholdingfromme.WhywouldLSUadmittodestroyingdocumentsinJune2010whenLSUslegalcounselKentHansentoldmeIhadbeengivenmyentirestudent

fileinMarch2010?Sincethefollowingeventsandcommunicationstranspired,IhavereceivedzerofromLaSierraUniversityinregardstoanytypeofapology.

MyattorneypointedoutthatLaSierraUniversityhadbeenanticipatinglitigationas

aresultoftheseevents.IhadtheoptiontoinitiatelitigationwithLaSierra

University,butratherdecidedtofollowthecounselin1Corinthians6:1-8infirst

bringingmycasebeforethebrethren.Verse1saysDareanyofyou,havinga

matteragainstanother,gotolawbeforetheunrighteous,andnotbeforethesaints?

Rather,myeffortshavebeentowardmakingthoseinthechurchawarewhoareable

toactuallyaccomplishsomethingtowardsthosewhorefusetotellthetruth.You

willnotethedocumentbelowwasforwardedtoofficialsattheGeneralConference

andtheNorthAmericanDivision.WhenLSUsadministrationdeniedmemyrightasaU.S.citizentodefendmyself

regardingthemistakesRandalWisbeysadministrationallegedIhadmade,IaskedaLSUemployeetorepresentme.Heeagerlyagreedtoassistmeinpresentingmy

casebeforethedecidingcommittee,whilemakingitknowntomehowsuccessful

(andthereforesecure)hefelthewasinhisemploymentattheUniversity.Yet,when

Italkedwithhimashorttimeafterherepresentedme,hehadbeenmadeaware

thathisjobwouldbeterminatedinonlyafewmonthsattheendofthe2009-2010schoolyear.

OthershavebeenmistreatedbyRandalWisbeysadministrationinrecentyears.

Lastyear,threemembersoftheBoardTrusteeswerebootedbytheirfellowBoard

membersfordevelopingaproposal,inconjunctionwithfacultymembers,toinclude

doing,andwhatitsclassroomsareteaching.YetIhopethefollowinginformation

willhelpallwhoreadrealizethatgreatertransparencyisneededinthisrespectonbehalfofRandalWisbeyandtheLSUfacultyandadministration,andthatdishonesty

andmisrepresentationwillnotbetoleratedinanyform.ItishightimethatRandalWisbeyandleadersatLSUbeheldfullyaccountablefortheiractionsand

representationstowardsstudents,parents,faculty,andchurchmembersalike.

WhileRandalWisbeyrepresentsanopennesstodiversityandopinion,hehasboth

openlyandcovertlyterminatedprofessorsandBoardmembers,andpersecutedand

harassedstudentswhosetforthopinionsandidealsdifferingfromhisideology.

Whatdoesittakeforustoseethecommonthreadthatcorrelatestheseactionswith

LSUsrefusaltotakeresponsibilityforitsblatantindoctrinationofstudentswith

evolutionaryteachings(BiologyandReligiondepartmentsalike),aswellaswithits

currentattemptstoconcentratepowerinRandalWisbeyandfurtherseparateitself

fromtheChurch?Theimmediatequestionis,Aremembersandleadersofthe

Seventh-DayAdventistChurchwillingtoallowoneofitsinstitutionstocomeunder

evengreatercontrolofanindividualwhohasanideologyandactionssodifferentthanthefundamentalBiblicalbeliefsandvaluesoftheChurch?

bodyofLaSierraUniversitytoholdtotheirdutyofupholdingcorrectprinciplesat

LSU.Takecarelestintheireffortstopreventdiscord,theysurrendertruth;lestinwardingoffdivision,theysacrificeprinciple.Truebrotherhoodcanneverbe
