    The Different Forms of Mouse Pointer in the

    Spreadsheet

    Arrow

    used to select commands from the menu barand toolbars.

    Thick Cross used to select a cell or range of cells.

    I Beam used to edit text within a formula bar. This pointer

    appears when the mouse pointer rests on the Name box and

    Font Box.

    Fill Handle used to copy cell content.

    Double Headed Arrow allows one to adjust the

    column width by dragging it to the left and right and

    the row height by dragging it up or down.

    It is automatically right aligned.

    A Formula is statement written by the user tobe calculated. It always begin with an equalsign, followed by a cell address and operators.

    =A1*B2 =1+2+3

    Functions are built-in formulas that performspecial calculations automatically.

    Example: SUM, AVERAGE,MIN,MAX,MEDIAN
