Surviving Sudden Cardiac Arrest

It Is the Worst of Times It Can Be The Best of

TimesTale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens

Available, but just out of reach

Today we are surrounded by wondrous cardiac survival technologies that are available, but still just out of our reach.

Automated defibrillation is available, but what are the chances of your identifying the emergency, finding, & using an AED within minutes?

EMT’s WriskWatch™ (1) System

Access to defibrillation using automated alert, broadcast, and coordination eliminates delay and human error.

Proper protocol for SCA, as fast as it is, nevertheless cannot typically respond within the necessary time.

‘Civilian’ responders do not have access or knowledge

The average EMS arrival time is 10 minutes … however -

Death from SCA typically occurs within 10-12 minutes.

SCA requires the near-immediate delivery of CPR and AED shock.

As a result, the current survival rate for SCA is abysmally low.
