Customer Service/Marketing internship
• A new and innovative technology company currently launching its software in pilot form across industry leaders within the construction sector in the United Kingdom • The team is based in Carlow (South East Ireland) and Sligo (North West Ireland) and will be
launching into the UK market during Q1 (Jan-Mar) & Q2 (Apr-May) 2011 • SME; ca. 5 staff; Based in Carlow, South-East IRELAND and office in Sligo, West Ireland
To start Summer 2011 – duration is flexible, ca. 4-5 months � Participating with customer communities via the web � Responding to routine customer inquiries � Handling and resolving customer complaints, obtaining and evaluating all relevant data to
handle complaints and inquiries. � Following up with customers to ensure high-level satisfaction and determining future
requirements. � Collecting data and gathering reports and documents for management, accounting
department, and external partners. � Preparing and presenting reports on usability to client administrators and company
directors � Handling delivery of marketing materials, and samples to potential customers as necessary � Facilitating the collected competitive information to monitor business opportunities and
trends. � Preparing, generating and distributing order acknowledgements and daily reports to
appropriate personnel. � Compiling sales data and gathering information about potential distributors and
competitors. � Maintaining database of customer contacts.

• Ideally suited to a student from a business or marketing degree or masters programme but other disciplines will be considered
• Interest in helping and working with customers; be professional at all times • Excellent communication skills, and able to work well in a team or on own. • The applicant should be polite, friendly, and present themselves well. • The applicant should be able to improve customer service skills; should calm & patient; • The applicant should be able to handle customer complaints remaining calm & patient • The applicant should be numerate, lively and quick-thinking • It is a requirement that the applicant have excellent communication skills:
communications with customers will mostly be written, through the web application and email but can also involve occasional phone calls and face-to-face presentations.
• Excellent level of English as telephone work & written communications and networking all an integral part of job; Enjoys taking responsibility, working as part of a team and on own initiative; Brings ideas; web & IT literate; comfortable with client interfacing
