Mission and aims• For CEE is typical just recent interest in the modern local
government studies
• The project aims at:
– enhancing the focus on local government or related issues
– advancing courses linked to local government
Partnership• First step: individual connections to several colleagues• Second step: institutionalization of the partnership (agreements) • Third step: agreement on collaboration within IP and
implementation of related activities• Fourth step: evaluation and agreement on continuation
• Further (future) steps: – new partner universities– extension of activities (research, guest lectures, etc.)
Focus and intentions of partners• Project is aimed at the field of local government and related issues
• Programme as well as partnership is interdisciplinary - backgrounds of the participants vary a lot:economics human geography sociologypolitical science management public administrationregional science public policy ethics
• Partners wans to share their knowledge and experience in order to improve/increase their capacities
Methods• Unique combination of high-level keynote lectures, interactive
seminars/workshops and presentations/discussions from practice• Keynote lectures are given by the well-known and distinguished
scholars/academicians • Young teachers play both role of participants (keynote lectures)
and role of teachers (seminars/workshops) – i.e. they teach and learn themselves at the same time
• Final results include evaluation of essays, written tests, and open coloquial debates
• 4 ECTS
