CHICAGO TRIP
While you are on the ISA Facebook
page, go ahead and sign up for the trip
to Chicago on March 12. We are
planning to spend the night in a
residence hall at the Illinois Institute of
Technology and a full day at the Navy
Pier and the Field Museum. We need to
let IIT know how many are coming as
soon as possible, so we will be closing
the sign-up soon. You can also contact
Rick for this one.
FILING YOUR TAX
It’s still tax season. If you plan to take
advantage of the international student tax
service provided by the Office of
International Student Success, remember
to contact Rick at [email protected] for
your access code. You can almost
certainly complete the process yourself
with the help of all the assistance provided
online, but, if not, just do what you can,
save your work, and plan to attend one of
the tax workshops coming up on March 10
and April 1
MARYVILLE AFTER DARK
Don’t miss the Maryville After Dark event
this Friday. International Student
Success and Residence Life are taking
15 international students and 15
American students to Dave and Buster’s
in Maryville Heights for a fun evening.
There are only a few spaces left.
International Students can sign up on
the International Student Association at
Maryville University Facebook page or
by contacting Rick at
OPT And, it’s still OPT season. Remember:
You need to apply for OPT 90 days
before you want to start your practical
training. For those of you graduating in
May, that means that the earliest you
should plan to begin is now mid-June.
Put together everything on this list, then
call Rick at 314-529-6843 to set up an
appointment to create your OPT form I-
20 and review your other documents.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
SPOTLIGHT Let’s meet Anna Khodorovich. She is
graduating in May 2016 with a degree in
Organizational Leadership and minor in
Psychology.
Anna also shared that “I
have always been interested in different
cultures (I learnt German and Japanese
throughout middle school and high
school). When I came to Maryville, I met a
lot of multicultural students. So, it
culminated in creating the International
Student Association last semester, which
is supposed to become the umbrella for
cultural clubs and organizations on
campus, connecting them with each
other.”
