The Meiji Restoration
There was no international relation due to the closed door policy
Only once a year a Dutch boat came to JapanThey excluded themselves from the rest of
the world during the closed door policy The only started having relations with other
country's when the Americans invaded.

After the Ally of Japan and Britain. Japan wanted to oppose the Russians who were trying to take over Korea and Japan waged war on Russia in 1904
The treaty of Portsmouth ended the war in 1905
The treaty of Portsmouth was to recognised japans interests in Korea
This allowed japan to become a more respected Country
