OUR STUNNING SPARK BUILDINGEverything about the building is designed around you. Our lecture
theatres include at-seat charging sockets for laptops and tablets,
while the latest lecture-capture technology uploads to our virtual
learning environment, so that you can really focus on learning, not
note-taking.
THE NEW SPORTS COMPLEXOur new sport building is due to open in summer 2019, adding two
new sports halls, three fitness studios, a health and wellbeing gym,
a strength and conditioning gym and further high-quality teaching
facilities to the campus.

A 60-METRE HYDRODYNAMIC TESTING TANKThe testing tank provides professional testing facilities for watercraft
design. Students also have access to our temperature-controlled
composite materials lab, 3D scanning and printing facilities, and a
dedicated design suite.
£1 MILLION MUSIC RECORDING STUDIOSRecently updated, the technology in our recording studios is
professional standard throughout. The primary studio features an
industry-leading 24-fader, six-knob Avid S6 M40 control surface;
all nine studios run on Pro Tools HD and Logic Pro X software,
complemented with quality microphone pre-amps and hardware
compressors, EQs and a suite of plug-ins from Sonnox, McDSP, Avid
and Melodyne.

£1.3 MILLION HI-TECH SPORT SCIENCE LABORATORIES Lab facilities include purpose-built labs for biomechanics, nutrition
and psychology, and a BASES-accredited physiology lab – plus
all the tools you need to monitor your subjects: data collection

TUITION FEESTuition fees vary by course, but as a guideline, for the 2018/19
academic year, undergraduate tuition fees are £9,250 for EU students
and £12,500 for non-EU students. Postgraduate tuition fees vary
from £6,950 to £10,000 for EU students and £12,500 to £15,000 for
non-EU students.
INFORMATION FOR EU STUDENTS
In addition to the student loan available from Student Finance
England, a University bursary scheme is also available to EU students
from lower income families. This is a non-repayable and means-
tested financial support.
INFORMATION FOR NON-EU OVERSEAS STUDENTS
Living costs, according to the Home Office/UKVI, are estimated at
approximately £1,015 per month.
SCHOLARSHIPSWe offer an Academic Merit scholarship to full-time overseas, EEA
and EU students who exceed the entry criteria for their course. We
also offer a sport scholarship awarded to athletes competing in a
variety of sports at national level and above.

ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTSNormal minimum entry requirements for an honours degree course
are typically A-levels or equivalent high school leaving examinations.

WHICH VISA SHOULD I APPLY FOR?Students from inside the European Economic Area (EU/EEA) can enter
the UK freely by showing their passport or national identity card. You
do not need to apply for additional permission to enter the UK.
If you’re not from the European Economic Area and wish to study
a course of six months or more, you will need to apply for entry
clearance as a Tier 4 (General) student. For more information on

SHORT-TERM STUDY VISASIf you’re coming to study a short course of six months or less, or
an English language course of 11 months or less, you may wish
to consider coming to the UK as a short-term student. More

VISA FEES• The cost of a Tier 4 (General) application from outside the UK
(entry clearance) is £348.
• A standard application for Tier 4 (General) Leave To Remain
from within the UK is £475, with premium (face-to-face)
appointments costing £1,085.
• Tier 4 Dependant applications are charged at the same rate as
the main applicant.
• Short-term student applications for courses of less than six
months (from outside the UK only) cost £97.

Depending on your course and the country you would like to visit,
we offer two main exchange paths:
ERASMUS+ The European Union’s Erasmus+ is a funded programme designed
to encourage students to build connections and creativity
throughout the EU. You can study with a fantastic range of
universities across Europe, for anything between three months and
a whole academic year, and your time abroad contributes towards
your final grade.
We also hold the Extended Charter for Higher Education (ECHE),
which gives you an even broader range of options under Erasmus+.
Work placements abroad are also possible, from two months to a
full year.
INTERNATIONAL EXCHANGE Looking outside the EU, our international exchange programme has
a growing number of partnerships with international universities
across the globe.
STUDY ABROAD PROGRAMMEFor students who would like to study with us outside of an
exchange partnership, including Erasmus+, we offer a Study Abroad
programme. This course allows EU and international students to
study with us for either a semester or a year.
