FURNITURE INDUSTRY

Since 2001, the industry has become one of the most important field with the exportation of 1,9 billion USA dollars to 214 countries and has no foreign trade deficits with gradually increasing export value. The sector aims to enter among the first 10 largest furniture producers in the World and the first 5 in Europe with the expectation of 25 billion dollars production value and 10 billion dollars exportation value in 2023.

In the measurement of furniture production quantities, the number of producer companies, production quantities, sale prices, export figures are assessed altogether and the size of the construction sector and the informality in the sector are considered, it is estimated that production of Turkey’s furniture sector shall reach to 25 billion and export to 10 billion dollars in 2023.

International Designers SeminarForward-thinking furniture companies of Turkey believe that innovation-related activities will create a competitive advantage and assistance to industry’s growth. In this case, CNR IMOB hosted award-winning Finnish designers and recieved great interest from visitors during seminar. They dissertated about latest furniture styles and innovations in furniture design. Mikko Laakkonen, Yuki Abe, Samuli Naamanka and Sebastian Jansson took part in "Designer Seminars".

International Hosted Buyer ProgramTurkey offers a vital and comprehensive trade market to key players of furniture industry. The IMOB B2B Matchmaking Program organized with procurement delegations, visitors and VIP delegations from 114 countries, such as Italy, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and industrial markets such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar and the UAE.260 companies from the Gulf States, North Africa and Europe met with the furniture manufacturers of Turkey in specialized B2B area at the trade fair.
