Academic Duties and Responsibilities
A pre-test of Public Health information based on assigned readings from Drs. McGlothlin and Wells will be given before departure to Dublin, Ireland.
Public Health lectures will be given in the early evening during this study abroad course (schedule to be announced).
Final exam: To be given to students on Sunday morning before the trip home.
A daily hand-written journal is required. Drs McGlothlin and Wells will read the journals at the beginning, middle, and end of the study abroad trip to assure students are being current in logging their observations and impressions.
Daily photos related to public health are required.
Project:
For the SA 10601 students, a PowerPoint photo journal with captions and explanations are required for this course
For the SA 59000 students, In addition to the PowerPoint photo journal with captions and explanations as noted above, a theme paper (approximately 12-15 pages) focusing on a public health issue of interest to the student is required.
The projects are due to Drs McGlothlin and Wells two weeks after returning to Purdue from this study abroad course (Monday April 4th, 2016)
