Creative Futures International Fellowship
with Creative Scotland
Call for applications
Creative Scotland is the national leader for Scotland s arts, screen and creative industries. It s our job to help Scotland s creativity shine at home and abroad. We invest in talented people and exciting ideas. We develop the creative industries and champion everything that s good about Scottish creativity. http://www.creativescotland.com/
Creative Futures is an ambitious 3-year programme of residencies and related activities designed to promote the professional development, vision, connectivity and ambitions of Scotland s creative practitioners and organisations. It comprises residencies that are single discipline, interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and international, and aims at building on a diverse range of partner organisations year on year. http://creativefutureshq.com/
As part of the Creative Futures programme, we will award its third International Fellowship to a Spanish emerging cultural practitioner during 2012. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, with very good English skills and a strong interest in the Scottish cultural landscape.
The Fellowship consists of a full-time placement with Creative Scotland and will offer the Fellow the opportunity to be part of a project team under the direct guidance of a Portfolio Manager. One of the main focuses of the Fellowship, as part of the Creative Futures programme, is professional development. Within this framework, we would develop the Fellowship s learning goals and tailor them to the Fellow s particular needs.
Creative Scotland s first International Fellow came from Romania and worked on the Creative Futures programme and EU funding. This year s Austrian International Fellow s focus is on events and projects within the communications team. The range of projects undertaken by the third Fellow will depend on his/her areas of interest within and beyond the organisation.
The duration of the Fellowship is flexible and can last up to 1 year. Creative Scotland would award a grant up to the maximum amount of £18,000 to cover the living costs on site, depending on duration.
