Dear Friends and Colleagues,

The ENT Department of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital will be organizing the Facial Fracture and Soft Tissue Reconstruction Fresh Frozen Cadaveric Dissection Course from 1 – 4 November this year.

This intensive course offers an excellent hands-on opportunity for Otolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery and Maxillofacial Surgery Residents and Fellows to expand their knowledge and surgical skills in the management of facial fractures and soft tissue reconstruction. The emphasis of the course is on cadaver dissection and close interaction between the participants and expert faculty.

Our faculty includes Prof Shan R. Baker, Dr Kurt Laedrach and Prof Peter A. Adamson, all of whom are internationally acclaimed facial plastic surgeons, who will be sharing their knowledge and experience during the course.

The first half day of the course will include didactic lectures by internationally renowned surgeons in the field of facial trauma management and facial soft tissue reconstruction. The basic principles and management of common problems encountered in facial reconstruction will be addressed.

Three and a half days of this four-day course will be dedicated to surgical dissection using fresh frozen cadavers to impart exhaustive practical training in all aspects of facial reconstruction. The laboratory portion of the course will be limited to 20 dissectors to allow for close and personal contact between the faculty and the participants.

We would like to extend our warmest welcome to you, and look forward to welcoming you to dynamic and exciting Singapore. We are confident that you will have a memorable academic and social experience during your visit to our Lion City.

Welcome Message
