Conference ContextThe advancement in Information and Communication Technologies coupled with social media applications has largely impacted Libraries and Information Centres. The emerging challenges posed by the contemporary environment, manifested in many forms, such as, digital repositories, big data, cloud computing, open access, user centric services (e-learning, e-teaching, information literacy, orientation programmes), web-based library services,

Digital transformation is the integration of digital technology into different areas. It demands a radical and cultural change that requires organizations to continually challenge, experiment, and get comfortable with failure. Digital Privacy is a trending social concern, the privacy protection debate has sparked many controversies and bolster issues of social security. New age Information and Knowledge Centres are struggling with conflicts over surveillance, secrecy and protection of intellectual freedom in the new paradigm shift which is privacy centric. For effective digital transformation implementation, it is important it should be inclusive, coherent and a holistic approach towards digital rights policy proficient with meteoric pace of changes. This international conference will focus on the discussion and deliberations on many of the issues emerging out in relevance to digital transformation as many sectors of Research and Knowledge industries are still at the early stages of such profound transformation.

Conference Objectives To discussion on national and international legal position on Copyrights, Plagiarism, Patent with relevant citations and references will be an excellent learning opportunity for young scholars, researchers, library and information science professionals, lawyers, copy editors, publishers, creative and performing art professionals and writers. With reference to judicial decisions and policy positions the Conference will create space for participatory interactions, discussion, knowledge sharing and demonstration on various forms of copy rights violations and their bearing.

Submission Guidelines Submission of full papers (not more than 5 pages) with an abstract in approximately 200 words, keywords and references on A4 size paper with margin 1.5 cm on all sides in MS Word format in 12 points New Times Roman type single line spacing. Length of the paper should not exceed 4000 words. Details such as name of the author, designation, title of the article, abstract, name of the affiliating institution, mailing address, telephone number, fax number and E-mail address are to be included. Paper should be plagiarism free. Before publication paper submitted would be checked through Turnitin similarity Check Software. The paper submitted must not have been previously published or presented elsewhere. The Programme Committee will have the right to edit the papers. Selected papers will be published in the proceedings. The selected papers will be published as edited book with ISBN number in print or digital format. Paper may be submitted in co-authorship. However, it is mandatory to register at-least one author of the paper who wish to present paper. The paper may be submitted to February 20, 2019 before last date. The Society for Social Development and Peoples Action (SDPA) SDPA is a pioneering Organization advocating on Intellectual Property Rights issues and concerns through decades. It is run and managed by a team of professionals from multi-disciplinary background. The Organisation is represented by advocates, academics, development consultants, media personalities, researchers and various subject experts. SDPA maintains all India presence through trainings, seminars and conferences on IPR concerns in collaboration with bi-lateral institutions, government agencies, corporate and various like-minded institutions/organisations.

Over the years SDPA has intensified engagements at various levels to raise people’s awareness about forms and expressions of copyright violations, incidents of plagiarism, patenting and its legal implications. Its twin objectives combine creating conditions for safeguarding innocent and ignorant academic practitioners, and informing the wilful violators about various national and international laws and adjudication mechanisms on IPR and their impacts.
