About the UniversityThe Madhav University is located in Sirohi district in southern Rajasthan of western India. Colonel Tod in his Book 'Travels in western India' has suggested that the name of the territory might have been derived from its position at the head (sir) of the desert (rohi). Sirohi also named as 'Sword' due to wide spread fame for manufacturing sword. The famous hill station of Rajasthan, Mount Abu, the Delwara temple, Nakki Lake, Sun Set Point etc. is giving illuminating shadow to the University. One of the Shaktipeeth Ambaji is in vicinity. The international head quarter of Prajapita Brahma Kumaries is only 5 kms from the university campus. Madhav University, sponsored by Manav bharti Charitable Trust, has been established by the Rajasthan State Legislature Act no. 7 of 2014 with the realization that social transformation can occur through the spread of high quality education. The trust aims to advance and disseminate knowledge and maintain highest standard of education through teaching, research, extension, education programmes and conceptual aspects relevant to the need of the tribal masses. It aims at pursuing excellence in teaching and research in Engineering & Technology, Computers, Management, Commerce, Pharmacy, Paramedical, Social Sciences, Humanities, Science and Law.
