International Business/International Business with Language Minor

(Open to Majors in Lerner College Only excluding Economics) For students that matriculated fall of 2014 to present

Applications for the Minor in International Business/International Business with Language are submitted through UDSIS and are reviewed twice a year

The minor in International Business/International Business with Language is designed to give increased understanding of the international dimension of business. The minor in International Business/International Business with Language is only open to students with a major in the Lerner College of Business and Economics, excluding Economics majors. Admission is based on the availability of seats. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 will be required for consideration. Students must have completed 28 credits at the University of Delaware prior to application. The 18 credits required for the minor may also be used to meet other distribution requirements such as the University discovery Learning Experience, degree breadth requirements and professional electives. Students electing the International Business minor are encouraged to incorporate a short-term study abroad program into their course of study.

The minor in International Business with Language requires completion of the 18 credits required for the minor plus completion of at least two courses at the 200-level or above taught in the same language for a total of 24 credits. Students selecting the minor in International Business with Language may count one language course as part of the nine credits of International and Region Studies courses; however, only courses taught in the language of choice count toward the minor.

Students seeking a minor in International Business may take only one of the required International Business and Economics courses at another institution unless advanced permission is granted for credit earned in residential study-abroad courses.
