FCA Ghana continues to increase in influence on school campuses as it ministers to roughly 1,500 students each week on five different campuses. FCA Ghana Representative Vincent Asamoah and a group of volunteer coaches teach basketball during physical education class but always begin the session with a Bible devotional.

From surfing to a juvenile prison for young boys, camps are making an impact in Central America. “The

sports camps let us see the impact we can have on a young person in one

day,” says FCA Guatemala’s Veronica Ochoa. “But the impact is double that.

We are also being ministered to and growing in a way that allows us to see what happens when you use sports to

transform lives and make disciples.”

FCA Mongolia is seeing incredible movement as its Coaches Ministry grows. A Coaches Huddle with eight coaches representing multiple sports meets regularly where they study the Bible together and pray for each other’s needs. “These coaches are catching the vision to use sports as a platform to impact lives, and not just coach a sport,” says Nord Ganshirem of FCA Mongolia. “Two of these coaches want to minister full time with FCA.” Over the summer, FCA Mongolia hosted a Coaches Conference with 11 soccer coaches in attendance. They also hosted their first soccer camp with 97 players and saw 32 make decisions to follow Christ!  Nord is using his current soccer coach ministry to expand into other sports and see impact in those coaches’ lives.

In ten cities after seven years, FCA Philippines has turned their attention to community ministry and for good reason. With a tedious paperwork process to gain access on school campuses, FCA Philippines is finding favor in doing Community Ministry with more than 80 Community Huddles. “The local government is opening doors and allowing us to use their facilities as we minister to coaches and athletes,” says FCA Philippines National Director Pastor Gary Visitacion.

3DIMENSIONAL COACHINGThe first 3Dimensional Coaching Presenters School was held in Orlando, Florida. Fourteen international sports ministry leaders from ten countries attended the training to become certified presenters of the 3Dimensional Coaching Strategy. During the week-long intensive training as well as pre-course online studies, they were equipped with information and resources to present and train in 3D Coaching. In the coming year, these 14 leaders have the potential to impact 1,400 coaches and 35,000 athletes in Latin America, East Asia, South Pacific, Europe, Southern Africa and Eurasia.

A total of 85% of the International Huddles are community based as a result of where the majority of sports are played internationally in the community.
