Welcome to the second year of Knights of Summer at Blessed Sacrament School!  We are thrilled to have the opportunity to spend the summer with your children engaging in a summer full of FUN ac vi es.   

 

Knights of Summer offers 8 weeks of ac on packed camps for children in Pre‐K through 8th grade and is open to ALL area students.  The possibili es are end‐less!  Science, LEGOs, Spanish, arts, and dance and that’s just the start of what we have to offer.  Campers have the op on to stay for a half day or a full day and morning and a ernoon care is also available for an addi onal fee.

Important Registration Info Full refunds (less a $20 processing fee) will be available un l Friday, April 12th. 

There will be 50% refund for cancella ons before May 10th. 

A er May 10th, there will be no refunds as teachers are contracted for the classes and supplies have been ordered. 

Knights of Summer at Blessed Sacrament School reserves the right to dismiss, without refund, any student for inappropriate behavior. 

Knights of Summer follows the same discipline code stated in the BSS handbook. 

Knights of Summer reserves the right to cancel any class that does not have sufficient enrollment. If a class is full or cancelled, you will 

be no fied immediately, and you can select another class for your child or receive a full refund. 

For families that claim Knights of Summer as child care on their taxes, please save your receipt. BSS’s tax number is: 56‐6017086. 

Dress Code There is not a formal dress code during the summer camps. However, if a student wears a t‐shirt, please make sure that sugges ve or 

inappropriate language is not printed on the t‐shirt. 

Parents may wish to send aprons or smocks for messy classes. 

 

What time does camp start?

  Camp starts at 9:00 am each day and con nues un l 3:00 pm. 

Does Blessed Sacrament School offer additional care before and after classes, and how much does it cost?   Yes, AM Care runs from 8:00 am – 9:00 am and costs $12.50 for the week.   A ernoon care runs from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm and 

costs $60 for the week. You must pre‐register so that we can staff accordingly. 

Does Knights of Summer provide lunch on-campus?

  No. We asks that all campers bring their own lunch and drink. We do provide a microwave for those who may need it. 

Can I sign up for half day or full day camps?

  You have the op on to sign up for full or half day camps. Camps are priced accordingly.

Session I—June 10-14 Knights Counselor in Training Our Knights of Summer Counselor  in Training  (CIT) program  is  for  students  interested  in volunteering 

with our younger campers throughout the summer.  This program provides rising 6th and 7th grade stu‐

dents  leadership training and job skills, while  learning to work together and gain a basic understanding 

of summer camp opera ons.  This program gives par cipants the opportunity to place the needs of oth‐

ers ahead of their own, share what they have learned and be a role model for younger campers.  At the 

end of the week campers will have the opportunity to sign up to assist with other BSS camps throughout

Little Knights Abrakadoodle Art in Nature Mixed Media Art

We will learn about shades and  nts, so  edged shapes, sculpture, prin ng and several ar sts including Georgia O’Keefe, Natasha Wescoat,  Ran Ortner, Homer, Gaugin  and  Secunda.   We will  use  tempera paint, oil pastels, watercolor paint, different papers, Model Magic, liquid watercolor and other art media to explore nature through our art.

Junior Knights ZumbAtomic Kids Designed exclusively for kids, Zumbatomic classes are rockin’, high‐energy fitness‐par es packed with spe‐cially choreographed, kid‐friendly rou nes and all the music kids love, like hip‐hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more.  Parents  love  Zumbatomic  because  of  the  effects  it  has  on  kids,  increasing  their  focus  and  self‐confidence, boos ng metabolism and enhancing coordina on.

Knights Kneedlecrafting Knights Spend a week learning the ins and outs of all things kneedlepoint!  Campers will embroider a  beau ful 

pillowcase, crochet a custom headband, learn to knit a dishcloth, discover the basics of cross s ch, and

Little Knights Abrakadoodle Sun, Sand, Surf Mixed Media Art

Little Knights Abrakadoodle If You Give a Kid a Paintbrush Mixed Media Art

Laura Numeroff’s  “If You Give…”  series of books provide a  lighthearted backdrop  for making  cookies, moose tracks, bubble baths, and more! Pain ng, sculp ng, texture, collage, stenciling, weaving, prin ng, found objects, watercolor pain ng &  recycled materials will be part of  this  camp. Campers will  learn about and create art inspired by the ar sts ‐ Le Roy Neiman, Carlo Marini, Sophia Harding and Yuko Lau & illustrator Leo Lionni.  (M‐F, 9am‐12pm) $135 (M‐F, 9am‐3pm) $165 

 

Junior Knights Harry Potter and the Summer of Fun! Create three‐dimensional cartoon spaceships and rockets,  learn about concentric contour  lines, try your hand at cartoon  faces and a simple cartooning method,   create a comic  frame using elements of characters & dia‐logue and prac ce crea ng conversa on and thought balloons.  Students will learn about mascots and symbol‐ism (Han Meilin), explore music in the whimsical art (Sandra Boynton), repe on and varia on and create fun geometric characters (Ed Emberley).  (M‐F, 1pm‐4pm) $135

Junior Knights Storytelling Once Upon a Time...Story telling is a long lived tradi on. Students will learn the art of sharing a great 

story and perform a few stories themselves. With puppetry and shared readings.  Camper can wait to
