Message from the Senior PastorDear Church Family,
Great things are happening at our church! Each Wednesday evening we aremeeting for prayer, teaching, fellowship and a meal. Diana Kellawan has beenteaching from the Lord’s Prayer and I have to say the whole deal is absolutelySpirit-anointed. God is up to something big in our midst!
We’re calling our Wednesday gatherings, “Table Life.” It’s the body of Christ, joining together like they did in the early Christian Church. Acts 2:42-47 gives usthis picture: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship,to the breaking of bread and to prayer.… Every day they continued to meet togetherin the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with gladand sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And theLord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”
Please join us on Wednesday evenings and experience for yourself a delicious tasteof an Acts 2 biblical community of believers. It’s short (6:30–7:30 p.m.); it’schallenging (yesterday Diana masterfully presented an amazing teaching onforgiveness); and it’s yummy (vegan soup that you would never guess was alsohealthy!).
God is in this, my friend. Don’t miss out on what He is doing!
In Him,
Pastor Karl

Nancy Warman has two passions:bowling and crocheting. She’s wonawards in both of them. Bowling wassomething that her family did togetherseveral times a week. Crocheting filledup the rest of her spare time. “Whenyou love to crochet, you produce a lotand there’s no way you can keep itall!” She started looking for placesthat could use her beloved hobbyitems.

A Hobby That Blesses (continued from page 1)
Originally Nancy crochetedfor her relatives andneighbors, and sold hats andscarves to those who wantedthem. But four years ago shethought she would give someof her work to the church andthe needy. When our churchlaunched a visitor’s table inthe lobby,Nancy madecrochetedbookmarksfor our
guests. They are still offered in the gift boxesgiven to our registered visitors at theInformation Station. The church of herchildhood in California heard about it andasked if she would make them some too. Thena ministry in Florida got wind of it and ordered250 bookmarks for a special outreach to needychildren in their community. She madecrocheted “bookworms” for this event.
Since 2011, Nancy has givenaway 500 hats for streetpeople, 94 scarves, 44afghans and 71 babyblankets. Last year she tookon supplying two hospitalswith birthing caps fornewborns and delivered 390
for futuredeliveries. In allshe’sdonatedalmost1900hours.Whenasked where she finds the time to do all this,Nancy says, “If I’m watching TV forsomething to happen or just have some freetime, I’m crocheting.”

Golden Buckeye Fellowship EventsMonday, May 20—Aullwood Audubon Center
The Aullwood Audubon Center is a treasure at any time of year, but it is especially beautiful in the spring when the abundantwildflowers are in bloom and the birds have their brand new feathers all “spiffed up” for the breeding season. At 1:30 p.m., Tom Hissong, the Naturalist and Education Coordinator at Aullwood, will givean illustrated talk about the spring wildflowers and birds; then he will lead the group on a leisurely walk along the pathsthrough the woods and gardens. We should arrive back at the Kettering Church by 4:30 p.m. The fee for this activity is $6.00per person.
