Function

CI Products consist of special high surface area copper particleswhich are reacted into the polymer-matrix to create a new class

of product with several protective functions:

Neutralization of corrosive gases present in the bag andmigrating gases

Protection as an ³Anode³ for electro-chemical processes

Natural function against Bio-Corrosion (copper is a passivemildewcide)

In addition to acting as a barrier to external

atmospheric gases the Corrosion Intercept filmscavenges any corrosive gases that might beenclosed in the air space inside the package.

Corrosion Intercept also acts as a sacrificial anodeand prevents cathodic corrosion.




Many companies apply light oils,greases, C osmoline or other

protective coatings to protect themetal products while in storage or

during shipping. C orrosionIntercept eliminates the need for

these coatings, which may requireremoval by solvents at the

customer site. S ignificant savingsin purchasing coatings and the

reduced labor requirements maybe realized. The customer doesnot have to spend hours cleaningthe equipment and use hazardous

solvents, which is a saving tothem.
