3. These samples are VCI? Or just the opaque white one? Or neither ? all are just ESD protection. No VCI We would recommend Static Intercept reusable bag for individual shipments.

5. Do the bags need to be translucent so we can see through them? the opaque yes, the gray ones not necessary. Intercept reusable totes would do away with the bags if individual packaging is required then

7. Why are they 4mil thick< do these components have sharp edging? Yes. This would come down to using a returnable stacking or cushion style of bag or intercept thermoformed tray to carry the items in a Intercept returnable tote with separators or in cushioned bags 8. Are they packed directly stacked on top of each other or do they have separators ------ they are stock by tens and put inside the carton box

10. Are the components placed into the Static bag then they go into the VCI Bag. -- nope. (these are more on moisture barrier and ESD protection only) If moisture is a major issue Intercept is also available as a MVTR I feel if the Intercept Tote with desiccant will alleviate the M.V.T.R issue.

Description: RIBS MVTR is a combination of two inventions that provides a reusable package with permanent electrostatic protection (ESD and EMI Shielding), full MVTR protection, and a self contained de-ionizer for corrosive gases. This heavily metalized laminated co-extruded film contains a single layer of two distinctly different properties. One side of the extruded film is a matrix of polymer and conductive carbon. The inside layer of the film is a static dissipative, non-sloughing, polymer with a backbone of reactive Copper that provides a membrane over the carbon layer. The resulting film provides 4 functions:

(1) A pathway for electrical charges to flow through the membrane to the conductive layer. (2) A pathway for free organic ions to flow through the membrane to be absorbed by the carbon. (3) A pathway for free inorganic ions to react with and be neutralized by the Copper in the membrane (4) A metalized polyester to provide EMI and ESD shielding and moisture barrier protection.

Highlights of Intel Crate Packing Specification ●Moisture Vapour Barrier Bag is required for all crates. A laminated vapour barrier will resist the transmission of water vapour (and other atmospheric gases). Intercept ® vapour barrier bags include electrostatic discharge protection as well as an integrated metal to prevent rust, corrosion, and retard mould growth. ●When clean, the tool, components, and accessories will be covered and enclosed in a 1 mil Corrosion Intercept ® stretch wrap or as required per OEM requirements with sticky side facing out. The Intercept stretch wrap creates a rust barrier. ●The material used for barrier bagging will be a Reactive Barrier plastic, trade named Static Intercept ®.
