The Plant to Plant Transfer scenario is used to move goods from a sending location (SAP plant) assigned to one legal entity (SAP company code) to a receiving location (SAP plant) assigned to a different legal entity. It uses the Intercompany Stock Transfer Order [STO] process provided in standard SAP for this scenario. The scenario starts with a Planning Run in SAP APO which generates purchase requisitions in the receiving location; subsequently these purchase requisitions are then interfaced to SAP ECC. When it is time to actually move a material, the purchase requisition is converted to a purchase order [STO – doc type NB] at that time the vendor in the STO is determined via the Source List and transfer prices as well as freight, duty or overhead estimates are populated via the Vendor Info Record. Note that the vendor specifies the sending location (SAP plant). When the sending location is ready to ship the goods, a Material Handler creates a Delivery, picks & packs the shipment and finally posts Goods Issue when the shipment leaves the premises . The next step is the Billing Run that picks up any I/C shipments for which Goods Issue has been posted. The A/R invoice is generated which then automatically (via an IDoc) also generates the A/P invoice against the purchase order. Finally, when the goods arrive at the receiving location, a Receiving Clerk posts the Goods Receipt. regards Himanshu Mathur, IBM Global Business Services, Financial Management Services Email: [email protected], Ph: +1 201 706 0272 Jayachandra Nk/India/Contr/IBM Jayachandra Jayachandra Jayachandra Jayachandra Nk Nk Nk Nk/India India India India/Contr Contr Contr Contr/IBM IBM IBM IBM 03/09/2010 05:52 AM To IGSI-SAP FICO Group cc Subject Inter company stock transfer Hi All, Could you please provide any documents(configuration steps) relating to the inter company stock transfer posting.
