THE INSTITUTE:
The Indian Institute of Packaging is an apex body of the packaging industries in India. Ceaselessly working since
1966 with the active support of Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt of India and packaging and allied industries.
Over a period of last 50 years, Indian Institute of Packaging has been able to establish the well equipped state of the
art laboratories for testing of various packaging materials and packages at its principal laboratory at Mumbai and also
its branch offices at Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi & Hyderabad.
The diversified activities of the institute encompass the entire spectrum of the packaging including Research, Library,
Data Base Services, Consultancy, Training & Education and others promotional efforts. The Institute is closely linked
with International Organizations Like as World packaging Organization Line as World Packaging Organization
(WPO), Asian Packaging Federation (APF).
COURSE:
The Course compromises over 120 classroom sessions on various aspects of packaging to be dealt by experts form
respective fields. Besides theoretical exposure, practical demonstration of Testing & Evaluation of Packaging
Materials & packages have been included in the programme. Visits to various industrial establishments & production
centers to provide opportunity to the participants to get familiarize with the process of conversion & manufacturing
and selection of packaging materials & packages, Testing Quality Evaluation are an essential features of this
programme.
