RailNewcastle is an intensive programme in Rail & Logistics taking place at Newcastle University between 29th June and 17th July 2015. The programme puts an emphasis on the growing interest in rail freight and passenger services and

international aspect of logistics, which promotes safer and more secure rail transport systems, more mature and environmentally friendly distribution of freight, more efficient railway operations.

RailNewcastle is delivered in Newcastle upon Tyne since 2012. Over 150 students and 20 professors were involved in previous editions of RailNewcastle enjoying teaching and learning activities as well as multicultural environment. The programme promotes innovation in railway education and training and provides the necessary skills for prospective careers in the railway sector.

LecturersExperts from academia and industry deliver talks structured along five thematic days in week 1, supervise students in week 2 and participate in networking events in week 3.

Week 2: 6th July - 10th JulyStudent-led group research projects.

Week 3: 13th July - 17th JulyTechnical visits, workshops, thematic seminars, networking, RailNewcastle conference.
