Intllignt Vido AlrtIntelliVid software makes it easy to find theft in the millions

of hours of new v ideo generated each week by automatically

watching every camera, 24/7, and alerting on-site or remote

teams when suspicious activity occurs. More than simple

motion-based alerts, IntelliVid uses patent-pending technology

to distinguish foreground and background activity and control

for various environmental variables.

Alert Types:

Asset Placement / RemovalWhether you are trying to protect high-theft

merchandise in a busy retail store or watching for

suspicious bags, intelligent asset alerts notify you

when objects appear or are removed.

Undeterred by people walking in front of the

object, the alerts can be fine-tuned for common

theft situations such as fast and slow shelf-clearing

(wipeouts).

Linger / LoiteringWhether there are customers waiting unattended

at a service counter or a group of people loitering

around a security gate, both situations deserve

attention. Linger alerts notify you when a person or

group spends too much time within a defined area.

The system allows you to define the linger region

and linger time, providing a flexible solution.

Direction / Velocity Protect restricted areas, private offices, and other

off-limit zones with direction or velocity-based

alerts. More than simple trip wires, direction and

velocity alerts allow you to tailor the alert region

and parameters to identify the specific behaviorof interest.

the last person in the office last night? Intelligent video

searches give you the answers with a few clicks.

Unlike most other video analytics providers, with IntelliVid

you do not have to set up your search in advance. You

simply define your region of interest, determine your search

type (People, Asset, Direction, and Linger), configure a few

parameters, and quickly search as much as a month of

stored video.

Intelligent video searches are available in both the on-site and

remote interfaces, significantly increasing the efficiency of

remote, regional team members.

Computr-Aidd-Tracking (CAT)Using patented algorithms, the software‘s CAT technology

automatically learns the relationships between cameras at a

store. The intuitive tracking interface then allows you to easil y

track customers or suspects as they move throughout the

store across multiple, fixed cameras. Using CAT, you can

build compelling cross-camera evidence movies in minutes,

tracking people forwards and backwards in time. Rather

than downloading hours of video from multiple cameras

and manually trying to stitch together the relevant clips, the

software does the work for you, automatically creating the clips

from each camera while you are tracking.

Invtigation Managmnt The final stage of building a case is pulling together video

evidence, still images, and case notes into a single, integratedcase file. American Dynamics IntelliVid makes it easy to bring

all of the components of a case – video clips, evidence movies,

still images, and case notes – together in one place. Saving,

sharing, and exporting this file takes just a few clicks.

The POS upgrade marries the video intelligence capabilities

of the software with data from POS or other event-basedsystems (alarm, access control, electronic article surveillance

(EAS), customer service call buttons, etc.). You can call up the

video associated with a transaction or an event and then apply

video filters to search for suspicious activity, such as a return

transaction processed without a customer present on the other

side of the register. There are two levels of integration possible:

Level 1: Report Upload – Take existing POS exception reports

or event records and upload them into the system to quickly

review and filter the results. The report upload feature allows

in-store or remote investigators to process hundreds of

transactions or events in the time it would normally take to

review five or six. The software accepts most report structures

in either .csv or .xls format.

Level 2: POS Forensic Search. The search feature provides

all the benefits of Level 1, plus access to an intuitive search

interface that gives you the flexibility to search for suspicious

POS transactions by creating compound searches, such as all

returns processed by Associate # XXX, including SKU # YYY

in the past two weeks. The search feature requires minor IT

coordination to provide access to the nightly POS files.

Traffic Monitoring:

Using the same “face-shot” camera views required by loss

prevention teams, IntelliVid gives you the flexibility to monitor

customer traffic at main entrances or anywhere in the store

that you have a camera. Unlike traditional infra-red beam

breaker technologies, intelligent video traffic monitoring allows

you to distinguish direction of motion (e.g. enters versus exits

or “break left” vs. “break right”). In live field testing, intelligent

video traffic monitoring has proven to be both more accurate

and more consistent (less standard deviation) than traditional

beam breakers without requiring the installation of separate

hardware.
