Цели: обобщение материала по теме “Достопримечательности Лондона ”.

Задачи: обучающие: развивать умения и навыки монологической и диалогической речи;

достопримечательностям стран изучаемого языка.

достопримечательности Лондона.

Учащиеся из предложенного набора слов с помощью стрелок составляют словосочетания, а затем с помощью слайда 4 выполняют проверку.

the Tower of Londonwas a fortress, a palace, a prison, and the King's Zoo. Now it is the museum. There are black ravens in the Tower of London. People look after them very well.

St. Paul's Cathedral is the greatest English church. Sir Christopher Wren built it in the 17th century.

Trafalgar Square is the center of London. In the middle of the square stands a tall column. It is a monument to Admiral Nelson.

The National Gallery is the best picture gallery of the world. It is a fine building. It has tall columns. Every day many tourists visit this building.

Westminster Abbey is a beautiful church. It is very old. Many English kings and queens are buried there.

Физкультминутка. Учитель открывает на сайте песню “London Bridge Is Falling Down” и учащиеся поют её вместе с исполнителем.

Заочное путешествие по Лондону.Teacher: And now we have “London Sightseeing Tour on a red double-decker bus”. Учитель просит учащихся показать на карте столицу Великобритании и учащиеся находят столицу и обводят контуром границы, затем на плане города учитель в роли гида проводит экскурсию рассказывая о достопримечательностях Лондона перемещая картинку с автобусом по историческим местам (приложение 6).

Teacher: Hello, ladies and gentlemen. We welcome you to London. Let me introduce myself. I’m your group leader. My name is Eleonora Samsonovna. I’m glad to meet you on this double-decker bus. London is one of the largest cities in the world. About seven million people live here. London is more than two thousand years old. London’s most famous sights are Tower Bridge, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and St. Paul’s Cathedral. You’ll see all these places and much more of London from our red double-decker.

Tourists in London always want to visit Westminster and see Big Ben. They want to see the clock in its tower and to hear the bells. Big Ben is one of the most famous clocks in the world. Big Ben is really a bell. You hear it every hour. It is a big bell. It weighs 13,720 kilograms. It has a deep tone and you can hear it on the radio: “This is the BBC. The time is six o’clock.” And then you hear the deep boom of Big Ben six times.

• This is Buckingham Palace – the place where British kings and queens live when they are in London.

• Important visitors often go to the palace. They meet Queen Elizabeth and the royal family inside the palace.

• A lot of tourists go to Buckingham Palace.• They stand outside and see the Changing of the Guard. It happens every day at 11.30 a.m.

P2: We start from Trafalgar Square. It is the heart of tourists’ London. This is where public gatherings and political demonstrations take place. The tall column in the centre of the square commemorates Admiral Nelson’s victory in the Battle of Trafalgar, where the British navy defeated the navy of Napoleon in 1805.

P3: Now we are coming to Piccadilly Circus. It is a famous London landmark and meeting place. There is a bronze fountain in its centre with famous statue of Eros, the Greek god of love. Look right. We are passing Hyde Park.P4: Now we are at Buckingham Palace. It is the London home of the Queen. It is a

wonderful building with a monument in front of it which is the Queen Victoria Memorial.

P5: On the other side of Parliament Square you can see Westminster Abbey. It is one of the most famous and beautiful churches in London. Many English kings and queens are buried there. Westminster Abbey is famous for the Poet’s Corner too. P6: Now we are crossing Tower Bridge. From here you can see the

Tower of London. It was a fortress, a royal palace and later a prison. It is a museum now.

P7: We are making our way to the second famous church, St. Paul’s Cathedral. It is the greatest work of the architect Sir Christopher Wren. We’ll stop at Fleet Street. You can go shopping. Our tour has finished. I hope you have enjoyed this tour. Thank you and good bye!
