How to Complete and Submit Your Cloud Solution deploYment Guide As a candidate for the Intel® Technology Provider Cloud Data Center Specialist designation, you are asked to share a minimum of one Intel®-based, custom-built cloud solution in order to meet qualification criteria. (Note: Intel will consider this information confidential.)

The following instructions will help you prepare to write and submit your Cloud Solution Deployment Guide. Please use them as a reference. Completion of the deployment guide will meet the Cloud Solution Deployment Guide qualification criteria for Intel Technology Provider Cloud Data Center Specialty Benefits.

Why we require a deployment guideIntel will promote Intel Technology Provider Cloud Data Center Specialists as experts in building and deploying cloud solutions. The completed deployment guide demonstrates that your company has the requisite expertise to qualify for the Cloud Data Center Specialist designation.

Repurpose your cloud solution for Intel® Cloud BuildersOnce completed, this deployment guide can also be used as part of the qualification process for your application to the Intel® Cloud Builders Program, a cross-industry initiative that brings together leading members of the cloud ecosystem. To help facilitate your qualification, we will repurpose the cloud solution you describe in your deployment guide. Find out more at cloudbuilders.intel.com.

Choose a deploymentThe Cloud Data Center Specialists must demonstrate their expertise in cloud architecture by providing proof of at least 5 SDI Deployments.

When you prepare to write your deployment guide, please choose and describe one of the 5 SDI Deployments you are providing as proof points for consideration as an Intel Technology Provider Cloud Data Center Specialist.

Those deployments must include: 1. Software-defined storage, compute and networking 2. An IaaS or PaaS-based solution with a self-service portal 3. IT services that are available through a self-service portal

Include the required content The deployment guide is a solution summary that walks the reader through the steps required to deploy an SDI solution. The guide follows the structure of a white paper or case study.

The document should be 2 to 4 pages in length and include the following elements:

• Executive Summary - Brief overview of your selected SDI solution• Hardware Summary - List of hardware components and why each is needed• Software Summary - List of all software and why each is needed• Planning and Deployment - Considerations for deploying this solution• Deployment Validation - Overview of the validation process• Summary and Conclusions - Synopsis of your solution’s key benefits

Submit your deploymentSubmit your completed deployment guide to itp-cloud@intel.com. An Intel representative will contact you to schedule a one-hour conference call to review your submission with an Intel Cloud Expert.
