High Level Goals
• What do you want to accomplish for your school, region or country?
• Long term goals– To develop a unique National Science Fair in which converge all the regional fairs – To improve the quality of education in science and technology in the country's
schools
• Short term goals– To bring the Ministry of Education on the National Science Fair teamwork so that
we get an insight into school curricula and the appropriation by teachers– To have a national coordination for the science and technology fairs with a
unique fair handbook (unify the criteria for participation and evaluation) – Teachers and Judges Training– To define a sustainable budget for the development of national fairs

Objectives
To develop a strategy for increasing the quality of science teaching in the schools
• How will you know you succeeded?• By having the Ministry of Education as part of the team of the
Colombian Science Fairs• To have a new regional fair registered at the SSP in order to bring
greater geographical coverage and participation• Increasing the number of students participating in the Regional Science
Fairs• To increase de quality of Colombian projects participating in the
international science fairs• Having a centralized coordination for Colombia’s participation in
International Science fairs: unified handbook for all the regional fairs
