Alice Fong, ND, LMT, is a licensed naturopathic doctor (ND) who graduated from Bastyr University, a 4-year accredited graduate program, after receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology. Naturopathic medicine focuses on holistic, proactive prevention using natural methods in combination with the rigors of modern science. Rather than trying to mask symptoms of a condition with pharmaceuticals, naturopathy tries to find the root cause, remove those barriers to health, and help facilitate the body’s inherent ability to restore and maintain optimal wellbeing. A licensed naturopathic doctor can diagnose, prevent, and treat health condition using patient education and natural therapies, as well as order blood work and lab tests. Dr. Alice does utilize various specialty labs including food allergy testing, hormone testing, micronutrient testing, and heavy metal testing. Dr. Alice strongly believe that the mind-body connection is an essential component of health and uses many mindfulness techniques such as biofeedback and hypnotherapy to help patients. Although she treats a wide array of conditions, the most common ones include digestive problems, food allergies, weight issues, stress, and anxiety. She is also a licensed massage therapist and offers Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, lomi lomi, and Thai yoga massage. www.calvertnaturalmedicine.com (443) 595-6688 [email protected] Yvonne Remz, PT, MTC, is a Physical Therapist specializing in Integrated Manual Therapy (IMT), a whole body or holistic approach to physical therapy.
