Law on integration of foreigners
Categories of foreigners covered by Law
• Foreigners holding temporary residence permit for family
reunification/labour purposes/studies/humanitarian and religious activities
• Foreigners holding a permanent resident permit
• Persons to whom the stateless status was granted in the Republic of
Moldova (Law 200)
• Beneficiaries of one of the form of protection: refugee status, humanitarian
protection, political asylum
Integration activities
• Socio-cultural adaptation sessions;
• State language training courses;
• Information and counseling on how to access labour market, medical services
and social protection measures;
• Guidance and professional training services to facilitate the economic
integration in conjunction with the capabilities and needs of the labour
market in the Republic of Moldova;
• Integration programs (only for beneficiaries of a form of protection).
General rule: integration measures are offered after the foreigner receives the
resident right/permit or the form of protection (although asylum seekers do have
access to some activities. There are no no integration requirements prior to the
arrival to the country )

Main priorities of BMA outlined in the Concept
• information point;
• place for organizing socio-cultural adaptation sessions, information sessions on access
to certain rights (education, medical services, employment, etc.);
• space for organizing meetings and consultations with the participation of foreigners
communities, employers, civil society representatives, organization of cultural events,
debates on the subject of integration, etc.;
• provides access of foreigners with special needs to integration activities;
• "observer" on the integration process;
• overall assessment of the profile of foreigners staying in the territory, including the
submission of recommendations for integration measures to be promoted and
supported;
• formulates recommendations for setting national policy in the integration domain of
foreigners, with inclusion in the annual report.

Advantages of future integration centers
Integration centers are designed to be created in the big cities of the country: Chisinau, Balti and Cahul.
Cities are selected based on the offered possibilities to foreigners, positioning, accessibility, interaction
with the community and optimization of work with foreigners in the territory.
