Step 1Fill in vehicle ID to create a worksheet which details, vehicle,customer, problem description and progressof job. This creates a working sheet where all the details arerecorded. This worksheet then relates to allfunctions of the VERUS™ throughout your testing.

Step 2The VERUS™ unit can then be connected to the vehicle andwith a touch of the screen the vehicle is identified. It is thenpossible to select the required system and display the livedata and any fault codes posted. Within the graphing data 16graphs can be viewed at any one time. But as with our otherproducts VERUS™ records all of the data all of the time. Fromhere the Data manager section can be selected allowing theTechnician to review their captured live data movie from aroad test.

Step 3Select the fault code, that then takes you directly to theinformation section and automatically identifies the vehicle,select trouble codes, under trouble code identification youcan then select the relevant code from the list displayed – ortype in the code to take you directly to the code description.

VERUS™ has wireless internet access allowing theTechnician to search the internet for repair information.

Step 4Within the fault code description section, any underlined faultcode will link you directly to a component test. That can linkstraight to the wiring diagram, then from wiring diagram tocomponent location, and then into specific PIN data. In thePIN data typical data values are displayed along with asuggested oscilloscope setting and a known good wave form.

Step 5From initial test results through the scanner and informationmodules you can select component test meter which will allowfor direct component testing. This shows the test procedureand guides you to where to connect the test leads. The scopeis preset and ready for use. By selecting the View Meteroption the Scope Viewer is then displayed.

With the VERUS™ unit the Technician can view scanner livedata and component test meter live data at the same time.

Step 6For further testing the Technician can test multiple sensors viathe four channel scope.

With complex faults the only way to detect and test a problemis with an oscilloscope.

Step 7The data manager function allows you to review any savedmovie files.

Data manager allows the editing and saving of files andscreen captures for use on a customers invoice, allowing thegarage to show the customer a before and after repair report.
